Bodyweight exercise gains in popularity every day. Busy lives, increasing travel and restricted family budgets make at home training an easy choice.

But many people who begin a bodyweight training program end up dropping out due to boredom from the repetitive nature of badly designed programs. This is a shame and completely preventable.

There are limitless choices of innovative movements that can add sophistication and fun to any exercise. Tired of push-ups, try the Screwing Press at this link.

Let's start at the beginning. We've been brainwashed into thinking the only place we can improve physique and performance is in a gym, with intricate equipment.

This stands to reason... the guys who make expensive equipment have a lot more advertising dollars than the makers of bodyweight training equipment. (hope you figure that one out)

Not only is the above notion wrong, but if you buy into it you could be sabotaging your performance and even putting yourself at risk of injury over the long haul. If you want to take the parking brakes off your progress in the gym, in the sports arena or even in daily tasks, you need to add a new dimension to your training.

When you take to the gym floor, the field, the court, the ice, or whatever -depending on your activities - ultimately it doesn't matter how much weight you can push in a straight line or how fast you can move your feet in a two dimensional pattern.

What matters is how fast and how strong you are when things go wrong-because they WILL. And worst of all, if things go badly and you aren't prepared, you won't just miss out on glory, you'll get injured too!

That means you need to learn how to turn all your "gym strength" into useable skill based strength on the field, court, ice or even just in daily tasks. And one of the best ways to do that is with bodyweight exercise. But not just any bodyweight exercise.

Most people, even experienced trainers, are stuck in the idea that the only options when it comes to bodyweight are endless reps of crunches, push ups and lunges. And those are barely more effective than the fancy gym machines.

The truth is, bodyweight, done right, is practically an art form.

It allows you to tap into something that we call the 6 Degrees of Freedom. That's basically a way of saying you can move in every movement pattern possible to the human body.

And that's one of the reasons bodyweight training can be such a damn tough workout...

Last winter I had the privilege of taking Mark Messier - among the greatest players the National Hockey League has ever seen - through one of our bodyweight training sessions. Let me tell you, the guy is still in phenomenal shape. But at the end of the session he was soaked with sweat, out of breath and exclaimed, "I just had it handed to me." That's the power of bodyweight!

So when you start integrating our bodyweight exercises properly into your training, you just start feeling like you have more access to your strength, speed, quickness and endurance. All that work you did in the gym starts to pay off exponentially.

A lot of our clients describe it as being able to get into your groove almost at will. And the cool thing is, you'll notice that as your performance skyrockets, your bodyfat sinks like a stone and you build a sleek muscular physique as a bonus!

If you're shocked that you're just finding out about this, don't beat yourself up. Heck, if I can send a whole roomful of experienced trainers into a trance with one of our training videos, how could you have known, right? And Mark Messier, one of the most amazing athletes of our times, didn't even imagine...

But it's also not some kind of Russian rocket science. It's as accessible to you as it is to any of my private clients. All you need is a roadmap.

Here's an example of one way this can work: you've spent some time building up yoru strength on the bench press. ->Then you can take that and apply it to a bunch of different variations on the push up. -> But you're not done yet. You have to increase sophistication again by doing something like a screwing press.

I hope you also noticed that we don't just jump straight into a bunch of crazy exercises either. You need the sophistication of movement if you want high performance in your sport. But if you skip the steps of gradually building up to it, you just freeze your nervous system. And if you do that, you won't build all the coordination.

You also can't access the kick-ass intensity of our workouts if you don't know how to build up to the appropriate level of exercise complexity. You need to work at the right level if you want to pour the maximum effort into the exercises. And that's the zone where you get totally lean, crazy strong and super coordinated.

So even though it's not rocket science, it is very deliberate. You have to know what you're doing. That's why our programs are so effective. We break down every goal individually and we systematically program the right exercise progressions to take our trainees to peak performance in 28 days.

-And because we're using bodyweight exercises, we can hit all the ranges of motion and patterns of movement fully. So you end up taking your "gym" strength to the next level.

Not only does bodyweight exercise work, but I really think that if you aren't properly incorporating it, you're actually hurting your performance and running the risk of injury.

-Doing it right means you're going to...

-Tap into all your natural movement patterns for better performance

-Access higher levels of conditioning or "WIND" than you've ever felt before

-Be able to into your physical "groove" more easily when you need to

-Avoid injury when things go wrong-and they will

-Train anywhere, anytime-an important point for busy people

-Have even BIGGER muscle gain and fat loss when you hit the weights again

-Have way more fun training

I hope that gives you the appetite to try some of our innovative bodyweight routines. You can get one for free at http://www.bestfreeworkout.com
