How Do I Know If My Kitten Is Depressed, Angry or Agitated?

Well, the first thing I want to talk to you about is if your kitten doesn't respond when you call or they walks away, or he doesn't come out when you are around, he doesn't come out when people are around, then generally he is depressed.

The second thing if you see your cat is not responding to their toys, or doesn't want to play, or doesn't want to eat, it seems he doesn't want to do anything he used to do, that is another sign he's depressed, stressed out, a little bit angry or agitated.

Let's say you have been playing with your kitten for years and years and years and decide that you need to change your habits, start working more, going out more, fixing up more and you just don't have the time anymore to play with your cat, be careful your cat can become depressed. This type of depression generally comes and goes eventually, once you start to show them attention again, so don't worry about this too much.

But, if your kitten is being harmed in some way and you don't know they are being harmed, someone else is hurting them, they'll get depressed and become sick, this could eventually lead to your cat walking away from the situation and not being your friend anymore. You have to protect your cat from other people and animals.

You don't want your cat to leave you, so to avoid this from happening, I would give the kitten a limited playtime, and a social time where they will have time to talk with you, and you will have time to listen to them. This will give you a time for bonding, a time for learning and the time to review the dos and don'ts.

Most cats pay attention to what you do and what you say so they generally mimic you. If you have a kitten in your home that does bad things, the other kittens will mimic what he does. When they do that, they are just mimicking so you want to show them a good atmosphere ... show them that you love and care for them and they'll stop.
