Sheridan is a very old brand name in the field of luxurious fabrics like bed linen, towels etc. for those who don’t know, Sheridan is originally an Australian company which has become a brand name because of its fabrics. They are unique, elegant, luxurious, and comfortable and made for your bed and home.
Every few years, Sheridan introduces a new range of their beddings etc. in the market. In each range, they try something new to make the Sheridan bed linen more comfortable, more luxurious and more strong and durable. They believe in three basic things, quality, craftsmanship and innovation. Sheridan bed linen is coveted by every family who want to feel pampered when they go home after a hard day’s work. And what feels better than lying on your personal and private bed, and feel comfortable in the Sheridan bed linen.
There are basically three types of weaves in the Sheridan bed linen. They are plain weave, twill weave and satin and sateen weave. The plain weave is also known as calico and tabby weave. In this weave, the yarn is interlaced in chess or draughtboard. The second type of weave is the twill weave. In this type of weave, the yarn is interlaced in such a way that diagonal looking pattern is formed. The third type of weave is satin and sateen weave. Both are very different from each other. In satin, there are warp floats and in sateen, there are weft floats. Sheridan bed linen usually has cotton sateen weave. Cotton makes it strong, comfortable and durable and the sateen weave makes it soft and gives it a silky touch.
Nowadays Sheridan bed linen is easily available in market and online. it is because Sheridan has become more of an identity of good beddings. These bed linen are made from extra long staple length Egyptian cotton and we all know that Egyptian cotton is the finest available cotton. It is strong and durable and it gets soft and more luxurious in touch with each wash. Now comes the point of thread count. A 300 thread count bed linen is good for your home if you want something which can pass through all the pull and tug and stains which happen when there are kids and children in the house. This bedding will be strong and durable and easily maintainable. You can simply wash and dry it in a tumbler. A 400 thread count is totally according to your taste if you want the comfort of good old cotton along with the silky touch which is because of the weave.
