Kidney stones are mainly formed due to some of the foods, we take. Here food is the factor causing the trouble and food is the medicine as well. Some of the regular things we eat or have in refrigerator are very good to help treat kidney stones.
Look around your kitchen and you will be surprised to find that there are so many natural remedies for this trouble. Let’s start by taking a look at some useful and needy eatables.
Magnesium is very good at averting kidney stones. A regular intake of this mineral can stop the formation of kidney stones. Whole wheat bread is something you must eat regularly.
Bran flakes are very high in fibers. 8 mg of fiber can be acquired from a bowl of bran flakes. Fibers are best known to help you rid calcium and oxalate when you urinate.
Salt is an essential intake but if taken in excess it can cause many complications. It is vital that your intake of sodium should not cross two grams for a day.

Carrots, which are high in Vitamin A, are the most easily available remedy. A carrot a day keeps the kidney stones away. It has nutrients which are kidney friendly and provides your body with fibers needed for better digestion. Some of the other vegetables which are high in Vitamin A are broccoli, pumpkin, winter squash and sweet potatoes.
For those of you, who love non-vegetarian dishes, chicken is a lifesaver for kidney stones. It is rich in a vitamin called B6 that helps beat excess oxalate and is also called a stone fighter. Moreover, when B6 is taken as a supplement, it helps beat oxalate and magnesium helps in preventing stones.
Next, Vitamin A is something that you can take as a supplement too. The proper maintenance of proper diet will ensure that you get your right amount of vitamin A. According to the RDA or Recommended Daily Allowance, 5000 units of Vitamin A is a must for your body.
Your doctor may give a combination of these two vitamins. Don’t take more than 25 milligrams in a single day.
The next two remedies to treat kidney stones are not foods but things, which you can find lying in your homes. Two litter bottles are very easy to find. Just take a bottle and measure your urine in it. A normal person must urinate nearly two litters of urine daily. Just check and you can be sure to keep kidney stones at bay.
Use a mesh strainer when you urinate. This may seem a little embarrassing but then you can filter out all your stones which are coming out in the urine. You can show the stones to your doctor who will then have a better idea of your renal situation.
