Writing an article involves a lot more than spontaneously sitting down and tapping away at your keyboard. There is needed preparation that must be done before the writing process can even begin. None of what is involved is difficult but it does require some time and patience if you intend to write an article that gets found and read on the internet.

Let's review a simple 3 step process on how to write an article that is both interesting and can be found by people looking for the content you wrote about.

Research

In order to write an article you obviously need to know something about your subject and this requires research. Now the only exception to this is if you are composing anything based upon your personal expertise. If this is the case you are go to go and can skip the research.

Researching your subject is relatively simple online since you have access to many blogs, articles directories, forums, or search engines such as Google.

Keyword Selection

Knowing how to write articles to publish online will always involve the use of keywords. Without the proper use or placement of relevant keywords people searching for information like what you have composed will NOT easily found it.

It is best to compile a list of keywords that will be relevant to your area of interest so that you have them ready and available for use.

Composing

Now that the first two steps are complete you can finally begin the writing process. You will likely find that the majority of time it takes composing articles will be consumed by the (necessary) research involved.

At this point you are simply pulling together the results of your research and composing it in an easy to read fashion. If your research was done correctly the composition of any articles takes little time.

Writing an article you intend to circulate around on the internet involves more than sitting down and pecking away on your keyboard. There are certain 'steps' that do require some time and patience that should be taken BEFORE the writing process evens begins. This is especially true if you intend to write an article that your target audience can easily find on the internet. The 3 steps reviewed above on how to write an article highlight the necessity, simplicity and the logical order in which the proper preparations should be completed. After that it is up to your own creativity and motivation as to the quality and quantity of articles you choose to submit online. This of course will be based upon your own needs and intentions.
