Blogging has become one of the most popular ways to market a product online. An example of this would be ad like blog entries that are only filled with (buy now!) and (get this product while it lasts!) Readers will just skip your blog and move on with their lives, leaving you with no customers, no traffic, and of course no income. So to keep your reputation as an online seller intact, indirectly promote your products and services by writing great quality blog entries consistently.

In relation to the last statement, try to maintain your blog by posting entries at least once or twice per week to keep your readers informed and updated on your business and your niche. You can do this by writing about your products in different angles and perspectives, writing about promos and discounts, and the like.
