When you're playing out your Texas Hold Em Tournament Strategy you need to carefully watch the ante's to ensure you don't go broke.

When your enacting your Texas Hold Em Tournament Strategy watching the ante's is important. If the ante's are getting to high and your stack is getting to low you might quickly find yourself in dire straights. If you get behind too much it may be more difficult to come back to a win. Seeing as the ante's usually come in later in the tournament, if you are running low and having your stack eaten away by ante's then your in for an uphill battle.

Knowing when the limits are about to rise in the tournament your playing is very important. You need to watch when the blinds are about to rise, when the ante's are being introduced and are going to rise, and by how much they are both rising by. This is especially important when you're low on chips. When you can see that the limits are going to go up you need to step up your game and work double time so that you don't ante yourself broke.

Ante'ing yourself broke is what happens when you play so tight that you don't play a hand that often but each hand you are posting an ante. Doing this will reduce your stack slowly but surely and is a surefire way to head to the losers bench. When your stack is depleted from ante's you have less weight to throw around and your bets/raises, when you do make them, don't have as much impact. The smaller your stack gets the less power you have and the bigger the chunk each ante takes out each hand.

Watching the ante's is important because you need to know when they are going to rise. If you see they are going to rise soon it is better to play a looser hand on a low ante then wait and be required to post the higher ante each deal. Making your move at the correct time, before the ante's start rising too high for you, is a critical requirement if you are going to succeed in any tournament. If you are not the chip leader or don't have a massive stack, sooner or later you're going to have to make something happen. Doing this before the ante's rise too much is preferred.

Its crucial to keep an eye on the ante's because you need to calculate your plays and moves according to them. Watching the time limits in the tournament and incorporating the rise in ante's into your Texas Hold Em Tournament Strategy is a crucial objective if it is getting later in the tournament and your stack size is less then desirable.
