You have just delivered your baby and gained more weight than you would have liked too. Maybe you feel the need to go on a very strict diet. This is not healthy for you at all! If you are still breast feeding you do not want to affect your milk development, so a healthy sensible plan is required. You want to keep you and your baby in optimal health during this time.
Gaining weight can be very stressful on women, and can put your confidence levels down. You want to be back to your normal self, but must realize that this will take some time to achieve. You are also dealing with getting up at night, nursing and your hormones changing after the birth. So you have some obstacles in your way.
Staying healthy and fit with various exercises will help you in the long run after your pregnancy when you're looking to get that sexy body shape back!
So, How to lose weight after your pregnancy?
You want to stay active. Through simply walking slow, at a steady pace you can keep your energy level up which will keep you motivated towards your goal. If the weather is nice you can take your baby out for a walk and you will both benefit from the fresh air. As your baby gets older you can do a few simple exercises with the child, using their weight against yours. A few sit ups each day will do wonders for your stomach and back muscles. Aim for a twenty minute work out three times a week to start and slowly work up to more.
For sensible eating find a meal plan that incorporates 5 small meals a day. This will provide you with plenty of energy for your busy routine. A menu plan that incorporates foods that you enjoy eating. One that contains foods from all the food groups and don't forget to drink plenty of water.
