If you're anything like I was for many years - you've probably intended to teach yourself French since childhood.
I always wanted to improve my French language skills, but it wasn't easy to fit learning French into my busy life.
I don't know about you - but I loved French from my first lesson at age 6. I was lucky to have a teacher who - even then - used very simple audio visual techniques and who took us on wonderful day trips to France each year.
So I got a basic grounding in French plus a love for the language, but I put off studying more French at school - telling myself it would be easier and more fun to learn French later - in France.
Recently I decided to move to France, so - took French conversation classes with the Alliance Francaise - whose teachers all have French as their first language & who run classes totally in French - all over the world.
It's a great way to practice French conversation - but can work out expensive - and improvements can be slow since its only a couple of hours a week - a few weeks a year.
I also took weekends & holidays in France - another great way to improve your French - as long as you can afford the time and the cost!
But - my teach yourself French plan finally came to fruition - & fast - when I began to use French audio visual lessons, conversations & games on a regular basis.
I discovered it was more intensive, but more affordable & a more fun way to teach yourself French fast - & much easier to fit into my life.
So it's the best method to teach yourself French. There are several programs on the market - though some are more effective & easier to use than others.
Luckily one at least offers a free trial so you can give it a go and find out if its for you before you pay anything at all.
I'm sure - like most people - you'll find this method works for you too - but if it doesn't you don't have to go any further.
