Designing a website takes a lot of work and needs to be done right if you want to see it work for you. The key to creating and designing a good website takes the knowledge of SEO tools and knowing what is going to work and be effective for you. It can take a while to find the tools that you need and to find the right kind of design that is not only appealing to users, but also easy to read and allows users to easily find what they are looking for. If you have been trying to improve the design of your website but are still looking for better ways to help, here are some ideas on how to find the SEO tools that you can use to help get started:

  1. Use simple designs – designing a website can be fun but it is important to focus on the SEO and content instead of only on the graphics or features that you are placing on the pages. Too many graphics can make it difficult to get to the content and find the information that someone is trying to find. Instead of spending a lot of time worrying about how the website looks and how many cool graphics you have on the pages, focus first on how the website is working and the content that you have. Then you can start to add more graphics and elements.

  2. Use easy to read navigational features – choose the buttons and page titles that are easy to understand and find. In some website designs it is difficult to find the pages because they are either hidden under too many design elements or they are blending in with the rest of the page. Keep your buttons and titles easy to find and easy to read. Also label them so that they give a clear message as to what can be found on those pages. Try not to put too much information on each page of the website because it can really make it difficult to find.

  3. Don’t place too much information on any page – if you have a lot of information and content, it is better to create more pages than to put it all on a few pages. People may not be able to find the information that they want to read or be able to see the products that you have if you are trying to place a lot of content on each page. There should be plenty of space around each of the products and articles that you have and, if you find that you need more space, create links to other pages that have the articles and content.

  4. Limit the use of flash intros – even though flash intros are cool and fun to use, they can also keep your website from being listed in the search engines. If you are going to use flash intros, do not use them on the landing or intro pages. Use them on other pages that are not being linked to. Anytime that you are going to be submitting a link to a page that has a flash intro, you should know that it will not be easily read by the search engines and, if you are going to use them, try to keep them to pages within the website and not on the pages that you have submitted as links to the search engines. Also try to keep the flash pages to only a few places because some people may not be able to read the flash and not see what is on the page.

The reason why some of these design tips can work is because, while it can seem like a good idea to use as many fun features and tools as you can and have all of the pages done in cool looking graphics and elements, it can be confusing for people to try and find the information that they need. Search engines also need to be able to find the keywords that they are looking for. When there are too many design elements and not enough good content or keywords being used on the website, search engines are not able to get to where the content is and may not list your website. People also like to be able to easily find what they are looking for.
