Many active people are concerned about 2 things : a loss of motivation and the upcoming change of the seasons. Luckily , there are plenty of ways to both embrace mother nature and keep your workout schedule both exciting and new. Whether you're running, biking, walking, roller-blading, or playing tennis, the weather can really put a cramp in achieving your fitness targets. Some opt to rebel against mother nature, refusing to miss their daily run regardless of the 6 inches of snow on the ground. Learning to work with and embrace the changes in the weather, will help you stay inspired and content without having to sacrifice your fitness. Similarly, every fitness enthusiast eventually hits a pothole, and that daily jog becomes the last thing you need to do. By changing up your workout habits you can rediscover that want for fitness.

The majority of people agree that winter is the toughest season to maintain an active way of life. The combination of an absence of sunlight and cold weather brings energy levels and motivation to get out and move to all time lows. If you don't wish to buy a costly gymnasium membership or pay for group fitness classes do not be concerned, there are still many ways to remain fit and motivated! If you're an avid cyclist, think about making an investment in an indoor bike training machine. These take up little space, and after a quick set-up you can ride in the environment of your home while watching your favourite television show. These trainers also simulate the effort needed while riding on the road, so when you make the transition outside you'll be ready to roll! If you're not into cycling, exercise videos are an easy and fun way to stay fit without having to work around group fitness class schedules. Invite your workout partners over for a fun filled hour of hiphop conditioning or rejuvenate before work with a pleasant yoga session.

Spring and fall are perfect seasons for outdoor activities. Exploit the lovely weather and head outside. If you're not interested in hitting the pavement for a run try some outdoor sports like tennis or golfing. Roller-blading and canoeing are also fun pastimes that give you a great fitness boost.

Once the summer arrives mother nature hits you with a heat wave, once again making it difficult to get outside (comfortably, at least). This is a great time to try experimenting with water sports. When the heat makes it very difficult to enjoy any kind of fitness activity, hop in the pool and swim some laps. Swimming is a great activity, strengthening the legs and arms and giving you a great cardio workout. Absolutely sick of the heat? Stay in the air conditioning and do some strength training or workout videos. If you want to continue running or biking outside, ensure you head out in the early morning hours, before the heat and exhaust from the automobiles cause you to feel like you are suffocating. Make sure you raise your water intake throughout the day to maintain hydration levels.

Always remember that fitness is important, it should also be pleasurable. Add variety and fun to your workout regime and work with the weather to remain safe and comfortable.
