Article submission involves submitting your article to the article directories. Most article directories allow user to include a link to their site in the resource box. There are also several directories that permit link inclusion within the article body.

Before submitting to the article directory, you must sign up an account with them. After creating the account, you must designate a pen name which will be displayed along with the article. The pen name can be your real name or a fictional name. The article which you use to submit to the directory must be unique and copyscape passed. If the editor finds out it is taken from somewhere else, it will delete your article from the directory and ban your account. If you are using a PLR article, make sure you rewrite it so that it is different than the original article. Each article directory will set a minimum word count for the submitted article. Though automated submission will produce successful result, it is recommended that you should manually submit to each article directories. If you keep using software to submit to the directory, the editor will soon find out about it. Eventually, he will ban your account. Worse still, they might blacklist your IP address and ban you from accessing the site forever.

Since article submission is time consuming, you might consider outsourcing it to a SEO company. Before signing up for the service, you should read reviews of customers to find out what they are talking about the SEO company.
