Toddlers can be an active bunch so finding toys that allow them to burn off all that energy is a top priority for many parents. While there are a lot of toys that encourage toddlers to run, climb, jump, and burn off energy in many ways, here are a few of my personal favorites for my toddler:
Toddler Scooter - A toddler sized scooter is great for not only burning energy but also helps build their coordination skills. There are a many toddler scooters on the market including many featuring beloved favorite cartoon characters like Thomas the Tank Engine, Dora the Explorer, and the Disney Princesses. Razor also makes a Jr. version of their scooter that is great for toddlers and Radio Flyer has it’s own tot sized scooter called the My First Scooter which is available in red or pink.
Toddler Climbers - A toddler climber offers lots of active fun for little ones. The thing I love most about toddler climbers is that most of them are light and portable enough that you can easily use them inside or out for you little ones. Drag it in the house for rainy days and winter and keep in in the backyard or on the patio when the weather is nice. There are several toddler climbers to choose from in a variety of prices. You can get everything from a simple one with a slide as the focal point to a deluxe version that includes a playhouse.
Push Toys - Push toys are always a hit with toddlers and provide a great way to show off their newly acquired walking skills. A few of the more popular push toy options for toddlers are toy shopping carts, toy lawn mowers, and toy vacuum cleaners. All of these toys allow them to have fun pretending and imitating things that mom and dad do every day. Great for not only burning off all that energy but also for encouraging imaginative play.
There are plenty of other toddler toys that are good for active little ones but these are certainly some of the top and tried and true favorites at our house.
