If you have a little one who absolutely loves horses, there are several great toy options out there that will surely make them happy. Here are some top toy picks for little horse lovers:

Stick Horse - It’s a basic and classic toy but one that encourages a lot of imagination and offers limitless possibilities for fun. There are a wide variety of stick horses out there these days to choose from. From basic models to ones that make sound effects, stick horses also come in a variety of colors and styles. You can even purchase a stick unicorn if your little one’s horse obsession carries over to the mystical creatures. Tip: Get them a cowboy (or girl) hat and a bandana to go with their stick horse for extra fun.

Toy Barn or Stable - Pretty much a must have for any pint sized horse lover, a toy barn or stable with a set of toy horses will provide them with everything they need to for hours of creative play. Melissa and Doug makes a folding horse stable as well as a nice toy barn. Both are well made and reasonably priced so either would be perfect for the little horse enthusiast in your life.

Spring Horse - Probably the best toy for energetic horse lovers is a spring horse. There are a wide variety of spring horses to choose from these days and they certainly are more technologically advanced and realistic than when I owned one as a kid. Many of today’s spring horses are interactive, making noises and responding appropriately to a child’s movements and actions.

Some spring horse models, like the ones made by toy maker Tek Nek, are also plush which make them seem all the more like the real thing. Radio Flyer also makes several great spring horses including it’s popular Liberty horse which makes realistic noises and has a yarn mane and tail which is fun for kids.

So as you can see, there are plenty of great toys out there that would be a guaranteed hit with any young horse enthusiast!
