When you manage something the most important skill you will need is that of delegation. If you have certain rules and techniques which are logical you will see that it helps you to delegate very well on something. If you can delegate well, you will be able to save our on a lot of time and you will be able to get your work done.

If you can’t delegate then the result will not be nice, your workers will get de motivated, frustrated and sometimes your task will fail. So if you want to succeed here are eight effective rules for delegation.

Define the task that you have at hand. Make sure that you confirm in your own mind that the task can be delegated and that it meets the criteria for delegating as well.

Then you need to select teams or even individuals. You have to point out what your reasons are for delegating the particular task to that particular individual or what they will be and what you will be able to get out of this.

Then comes the part where you have to explain all of reasons for which you are delegating the job as well as the responsibility. You need to explain why you choose the people you did and what the relevance is. You also need to explain where it fits into the entire scheme of the things.

Then you need to state what results you require very clearly. You have to tell your team what you need to achieve. If they have any doubts, you need to clarify it. You can also get feedbacks from other people. You will have to find out how your task is going to be measure. Then you also have to let your team know if your job is being done successfully or not.

Consider the resources which you require. You need to discuss with the rest of the team and then agree on what the resources you will need are. You have to consider certain things when it comes to this like the location, the people, the equipment, funds available and other things as well.
