One of the most unpleasant experiences that a person can go through when it comes to dealing with insects and bug bites, are bedbug bites. Bedbug bites normally occur at night while a person is in bed and asleep. People normally don't realize that they have a bedbug bite until they wake up the next morning with an itchy or red spot on their leg, arm, neck, etc. The bedbug bite gets worst with scratching and is certainly more troublesome than the mosquito bite.
There are so many places where one can find the bedbugs like in the crevice of the mattress lamp shades or even pillows. They come out at during the night to feed on human and animal blood and they use their pointed beak-like mouths which is painless, to pierce the flesh. Many people notice the bedbug bite only in the morning as their piercing bite is not at all painful.
Each individual reacts differently to the bedbug bites like some have red puffy spots and some only have skin scaling. Some people are actually lucky enough to not itch at all from bedbug bites.
Bedbugs are little brownish insects that have beaked mouths, and they have no wings. Though not every one wants to have them in ones homes it is perfectly fine to go ahead and search for the pictures of the bedbug bites on the internet. This will also help you to know what to look out for if you suspect that you have bedbugs. It is best to get rid of them if you ever do get them before they get out of hand because the more they multiply, the harder to get rid of they are.
The market is flooded with creams that can easily bring down the itching on the skin. These medicines will not make them completely go away, but it will help the process go a lot quicker. You can make use of the Calamine lotion to get rid of the itching occured due to bedbug bites. You will be able to find easily in stores by identifying it in a pink bottle and a pink liquid. The itching will come down well when you keep on applying it on the area. The itching can also be controlled with rubbing in some alcohol.
In order to kill the bedbugs you need to wash all the affected clothes in hot water as these are not heat resistant. Steam cleaning is the ideal thing for your carpet.
These bedbugs cannot bear strong smells and thus spraying the carpets and sheets with a strong perfume or bedbug spray should help to kill them. You must practice cleanliness in you home to expel these and also keep them away from their infestation in your homes.
