Blue Heeler training is best started as soon as possible. Look into a variety of methods and techniques in how to train to your Heeler for your begin. By doing dog training several times during the day is a particularly good way to teach your Heeler, but it’s also recommended that there are some breaks during the day also.
From the basic teachings of how to sit, come and do more tricks, is simply a matter of tactics or verbal cues which requires a lot of repeating. Using repetition is important as it allows your Heeler to grasp things much quicker. Having some patience and determination will also aid in accomplishing tricks and commands.
Blue Heeler training goes onto teaching them to understand hand signals along with commands. When they become familiar with your signals you can either use verbal or hand signals as commands to get your Heeler to do whatever you ask of them.
With Blue Heeler training, the key is to be consistent. It’s important to use the exact commands and hand signals consistently as some may be confusing for your Heeler. There are also other recommendations that will help you when teaching your Heeler commands. Positive reinforcement by way of giving rewards when accomplishments have been met. This is a method that encourages the process of training and remembering commands that will result in getting a prize. There are bound to be mistakes along the way and when that happens the best thing to do is not to shout or physically discipline them, as they may be confused as to the reason why you are upset. While it may let out your frustration it will not correct or help the situation.
Blue Heeler training should be enjoyable for both you and your Heeler. When just starting out its best to start with the basics than go into anything complicated or difficult to do. Teaching for hours on end is not ideal either as this might exhaust your Heeler or they might get bored with it. With any new pet, you should learn as much as you can about the required teaching methods that suit your breed and start immediately. You’ll find that it not only is enjoyable for your Heeler but also creates a great bond between you both. Look after your Heeler and they will reward you with years of companionship and joy in your life.
