Ayahs of Quran related to alcohol

It is stated in the Quran: "They ask you regarding wine and gambling. Say, in both of them is major sin, and there is some benefit for men, but the sin of them is far greater than benefit"

(Surah Baqarah)

"O you who believe! Intoxicants, gambling, idolatry and arrows (for seeking help on decision) one an abomination of order that you may be successful.

Shaytan seeks only to cast amongst you enmity and hatred by means of strong drink and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah and from his worship, will you then not refrain? "(Surah Ma’idah 90)

Alcohol is haram in Islam

Before the advent of Islam and after advent the in the first few years the consumption of Alcohol was quite a common act in Arabs. Later on when the Quranic teachings came down systematically and alcohol was strictly prohibited. Rasool Allah saw that the even the people of medina were indulged in drinking alcohol.

There were masses that believed in benefits of alcohol and did not look at harmful effects that lead to addiction and evil deeds in the society. This evil and harmful thing was considered to be haram in Islam.

Alcohol the mother of all sins

Alcohol is a major sin as man can get indulged in major sin after drinking alcohol. Person losses control over his actions after he has taken liquor. This is the reason that after he has taken alcohol he can commit any sin that comes his way and he won’t even feel bad about the sin. His conscience would not direct him the right way and he would not feel bad about it even later.

Harmful effects of Alcohol

Alcohol gives pleasure to a person temporarily. It makes a person feel strong for the time being and later alcohol starts to harm the body as well as his soul. The person who talk about the benefits of alcohol even says that alcohol has makes the vision of a person clear. Following are the harmful effects of alcohol:

4.Aging process is quite fast in the people who drink.

6.Affects the confidence level and disturbs the speaking power.

7.Makes the heart weak Resulting in heart failure.

8.Makes a person aggressive thus resulting kin conflicts between people.

9.Results in major sins as a person becomes morally weak.

10.Waste of health and wealth.
