Lacrosse is a widely recognized sport that was first originated by the Native Americans. Lacrosse has been around for a long time. The contact sport is known to be very physical. It has gained so much exposure overtime, that there are millions of players. There are leagues of different levels that include recreational, collegiate, and professional. The main attribute that is necessary for each player consists of speed, strength, and endurance. You can compare the sport as hockey without skates and ice. Instead, lacrosse is played on the field using sticks that hold the ball while running to the opponent's goal and throwing it in for a score. The defensive side uses checking tactics like hockey, to shake the ball loose or prevent them from getting closer to the goal. In order for players to get the most out of the game, just like any sports field, it has to offer the best performance for the players. The solution to any sports field is synthetic grass.
Most recently in NCAA lacrosse, Duke and Notre Dame battled it out for the NCAA Championship. The two rivals went at it in a thrilling overtime victory for Duke. It was Duke's first title in lacrosse winning 6 - 5. Coincidentally, the sports field that was used during the championship game was synthetic grass. This proves that synthetic grass is used in the professional level. This also confirms that lacrosse players and athletes alike trust synthetic grass to be their main surface of play.
Synthetic grass has always been the true alternative to natural grass. Synthetic grass allows lacrosse players to use their speed across the field without having to deal with any of the natural aspects of natural grass. With synthetic grasses consistent surface and durability, players are able to move around freely as if they were on ice. While the players are running freely, synthetic grass provides the necessary shock impact, cushion, and comfort to reduce injuries.
Though speed is very essential to lacrosse players, strength is another asset that is needed. When players are knocked around or are consistently making contact with the ground, synthetic grass absorbs the energy created by the impact. Not only does this help reduce injuries, but it does not get the players uniform filthy with mud or grass stains. Synthetic grass significantly helps when a player is knocked down. They are able to recover and get up quickly, without slipping or tripping. In a game of team involvement, it is crucial that all your players are back up on their feet.
Lacrosse, like football and basketball, has four quarters of regulation time. Each quarter is 15 minutes long. This means that the game can last around 2 to 3 hours including time outs, fouls, or injuries. Who knows what the weather will be like in a span of 2 or 3 hours. With synthetic grass, games won't be hindered by the weather conditions. Games can be played when it rains because synthetic grass has an effective draining system. During warm conditions, new technology in the infill sustains the heat, which solves the problem of dramatic rises in temperature. Synthetic grass stays resilient and long-lasting, that lacrosse players are able to play for years to come.
