The first thought of having a baby was pretty scary my first time. I remember wanting so badly to just have a healthy pregnancy. In order for that to happen, I Knew I would have to put the baby's choices before my own. That decision was not long after getting up early ever morning with morning sickness from what I ate the night before. To say the least, I was not a happy camper. I went through this ordeal the first three months of my pregnancy religiously.
Determined to stay healthy while pregnant was no easy chore, but around the fourth month it was getting somewhat better. I decided to learn more and educate myself in becoming the healthy mom I needed to be for my baby.
The first thing I choose to do without hesitation was to take my prenatal vitamins. The second idea that came to my mind was to walk and do light exercising, that was rewarding to me and the baby all at the same time.
The third thing was to try and eat right, even though I had cravens to fight with so many choices of food from the kitchen nightly, but I made the best of it regardless. Did I want peanut butter and sore pickles, sometimes...
Since I was so wet behind the ears, I began asking my mom question after question becoming determined to go through whatever I needed to go through in order to have a healthy baby in the end. Guidance from a reliable source became so very important to me in my first pregnancy because I had no clue as to what I was really doing. I was blessed to have both mom and grandmother there for me in having my first child. This made my question and answer time so much more clear and calming for me.
