The ideal length for an article that brings in sales is somewhere between 500 and 650 words.
Its minimum length should be no less then 350 words.
There must be a good balance between the amount of information transmitted and the number of phrases necessary for its transmission. You need people to have sufficient interest by the time they finish reading for also clicking in the resource box.

Instead of stuffing your article body, consider using your main keyword no more than three or four times, once each in the introduction and conclusion paragraphs, and maybe once or twice more in the body depending on the length of the article.
Better yet, instead of using the same keyword, build long tail keywords and variations that have good daily search rates.
These are referred to as LSI words, or semantic related and help build an even greater relevancy for the article without the use of the targeted keywords.
Also avoid using the same article body on multiple Article Directories.
I suggest not investing time and effort in this manner because search engines are cleaning their indexes on a regular basis and every indexed but duplicated article encountered on multiple ADs is eliminated along with the back link.
This issue is also referred to as offsite duplicate content and it can be a serious problem for your article marketing campaign long term.
