With the economy in such bad shape everywhere people are struggling to find ways to save. One of the first things to get cut are vacation plans because transportation, hotel fees, eating out, entertainment, etc all add up quickly. But at the same time, you want to have a good time with your family, live your life, and build happy memories. So how can you make that happen without spending a fortune? Well, for those who own a boat, or know someone who owns a boat, the most fun answer is a towable tube for your staycation.
There are certainly some very pricey options out there for you to consider, some going well up into the thousands. Most of these are for multiple riders (up to a dozen) and come in all sorts of fun shapes. For those on a budget, however, there are some great, reliable, lower priced options that are most importantly a lot of fun. In the lower price range you have some options that come to around a hundred dollars. When you consider that you can use it multiple times, the cost of it versus the cost of a typical vacation, and the memories you'll have of your family having a great time on the water, this is a very affordable option.
Towable tubes for your staycation come in all shapes and sizes, for one rider, two riders, up to a dozen. The only other equipment you'll need are life vests, a tow rope or tow harness, and an air pump---some of these items may come with the inflatable you purchase, so make sure to read the description and see what comes with it. You can find ones in almost every color, and you can also find some uniquely designed ones (shaped like animals or giant hot dogs) depending on what you're looking for. There is really something for every personality out there.
Make sure that you read about how to hook the tow rope up, everyone is wearing a life vest and knows how to swim, and you're good to go for a great day on the water! Just because money is tight doesn't mean it's not important to take the time to spend quality, fun, time with your family. Consider a towable tube for a staycation a great way to make that happen.
