Help for premature ejaculation: My personal battle with sexual stamina and techniques that work.

It was a good night and my wife and I had just returned home from enjoying a great evening out. We were both feeling very happy and I, in particular, was FEELIN’ IT! I was fricken’ READY TO GO!!!!

Fortunately for me, that night, so was she. And she was making it obvious. I thought to myself "WOO HOO!! SCORE!! Now the real party gets started!"

She moved towards me and I thought "let the festivities begin!" The natural course of things continue to progress and so did our bodily functions. Both of us were way HOT and in the throws of passion! We had only been enjoying each other for a couple of minutes when… "OH CRAP! NO! NOT YET!!!!! OH GOD PLEASE NO!!!!" I found myself trying to negotiate with the creator of the universe saying things like "If you let me last longer or let them finish first I won’t complain about anything for a week or I’ll go back to church or WHATEVER! Just PLEASE not yet! PLEASE NO!" I remember being lucky enough one time to catch myself and I began trying to think of something COMPLETELY unrelated like cereal or a brick wall or my favorite animal (FYI - be careful with this. It could end up in some very weird dreams)

Unfortunately "old faithful to shoot too early" erupts and now one of us was hungry and tired and the other was frustrated and pissed off. On a side note - if you ever find yourself in this situation and you haven’t fallen asleep, DON’T! It tends to make things much worse.

Now back to my story. A couple of things can happen at this point. If they are compassionate they say things like "it’s okay. I am happy that you are happy," or "it’s okay. No really it’s okay" but you know they are lying because of the look on their face. I am blessed enough to have a very compassionate woman. On the flip side, I know there are those who simply are not compassionate. If you happen to be "lucky" enough to end up with one of these gems you could be in for a real treat of verbal slurs like " WHAT?? ALREADY??!!! Couldn’t you wait? AHHHH!" Or how about "Are you serious? That’s it?!" I’ve have even heard things like "You got fingers, use em’!" and "what a waste!" and my favorite "well that was uneventful."

Now in their defense I must say that both parties really deserve to "cross the finish line." When you started this whole ordeal there two people in the race. It’s not the other persons fault that you happen to run faster than they do and, unlike an actual running race, this is an "us" thing not a "me" thing. Believe it or not when fireworks explode in both parties fields the party is a lot more fun and the chance of having a party in the same field again tends to increase greatly.

Regardless of how you look at it premature ejaculation is not cool and can really create problems with your sex life, your self-esteem and, in many cases, your marriage or relationships.

In my search for methods to rectify this issue with premature ejaculation without the need for pills and such I came across an article in Askmen.com talking about a technique called the "Kegel exercises for men." It speaks of how the pubococcygeus muscles control the release of semen and urine from your penis. Here is an excerpt from that article because going over what exactly the pubococcygenus muscles or PC muscles:

"PC muscles control the flow of semen and urine, the firmness of your penis during erection and the shooting power of your ejaculation. They are important, and if kept very strong, will see you into your golden years with a fantastical hard on. The great thing about Kegel exercises for men is that you can do them anywhere, anytime -- and nobody will know the difference.

You will be able to have better sex by being able to better control your orgasms and ejaculations, and last for longer, plus you may get the added kudos of being able to hold up a wet towel with your erection if you practice these Kegel exercises for men."

The article goes on to describe other things about the PC muscles. Shortly after this they go into the exercise sessions. I decided that I had nothing to lose so why not try it? Here is the first session straight from the article itself:

Kegel session 1

Exercise A

Sets: 3

Quickly clench and release repeatedly for 10 seconds.

Take a 10-second break between sets.

Exercise B

Sets: 10

Clench and release repeatedly for 5 seconds.

Take a 5-second break between sets.

Exercise C

Sets: 3

Tighten and hold your PC muscle for 30 seconds.

Take a 30 second break between sets.

That’s it for today, but repeat these Kegel exercises for men daily for one week.

NOTE! One of the easiest ways to find out how to control the pubococcygeus muscles are when you are urinating. Basically this muscle has the ability to start and stop the flow. So, if you are not sure how to exercise the muscle simply do the following:

When you need to use the restroom allow the urine begin to flow. At some point stop the flow and then begin the flow again. Do this a couple of times until you know you are sure you can control the flow. Essentially you are exercising the PC muscle at this point. So take this same basic principle and do it when you are not in need of using the restroom and you will be exercising the PC muscle.

At first I felt kind of stupid but than I began to realize that it was working and maybe I am on my way to a better sex life and truly being able to sexually satisfy my partner! Now I will be honest with you, it does take time because you are in fact exercising some muscles. You just didn’t realize you had them. And, like any other muscle group, they need exercise to improve in strength and stamina. The exercises included in this article take a few weeks to really begin seeing real noticeable changes in stamina but it does work. The other tool I found to be good is called the Ejaculation Trainer. The trainer goes through exercises similar to the Kegel but it also goes into other forms of premature ejaculation control like understanding how chemicals in your body can effect how quickly you release. It also goes through detailed explanation on how to work with your mind during sex to be able to control your bodily functions. However, just like the Kegel exercises, this is not an over-night quick fix either. The exercises in this book also take some time but I did find that the improvements from the information in the book were more notice able sooner than you would with just the Kegel. The book does talk about increasing time right away but I did not experience this myself and I needed to perform the exercises for a little while before I saw real notice able changes. It takes time and work but it’s worth it.

In closing let me say a couple of things. First off, the best thing you can do for you and any of your relationships is to be honest about your short falls. If they are into you for you than any inadequacies you perceive within yourself will not be that important to them especially if they know you are doing what you can to make it better. Secondly, One of the great things about trying to improve your sexual stamina is, if your partner, in my case a beautiful Latina, is supportive than YOU GET TO PRACTICE! A LOT! One thing I found out was that being honest with her in my endeavors to improve our intimate relations actually improved not just how often we make love but how we do it and the length of time.

Enjoying them is not just about taking your soldier into the "promise land" but also about exploring the entire promise land that is your partner.
