How can you buy your a three stone diamond ring online without getting taken advantage of?
I'm gong to give you a couple of quick and easy tips. You can use them right away to make sure that you don't get scammed.
First tip: the shape of the diamond. If you want your diamond to look as big as possible, you might want to buy a Marquise or Pear shape. It makes your diamond look bigger, but you don't have to pay more money for it. Also, if you want your diamond to have as much sparkle as possible, you might want to consider buying a round shape.
Second tip: there are four things that you might consider when buying a ring online. They are what we call the four C's. I'm going to give them to you, but as simply as possible. The first one is clarity. Basically what it means is that the diamond that you're buying has no imperfections. Now you can save money here because most imperfections cannot be seen by the naked eye.
Third tip: the color; simply put, a diamond is either white or yellow, or it can be on a scale between this white and yellow color. The "whiter" it is, the more value it has. Make sure that you don't buy any diamonds that have been treated so that they look a certain color, for example blue or pink or black, because when you do this you're buying a diamond of less value.
Next tip: carat. The carat is only related to the weight of the diamond. One tip for you to pay less money is to always ask for one point below the carat you want to buy. So for example, let's say you want to buy a three diamond ring; so you're going to have three diamonds and each diamond is one carat. Simply, buy the lowest amount of carat you can. So for example, you can buy a .95 carat for each ring, and that way it will not look different than three one carat rings, but you're going to pay a lot less.
Next tip is transparency. It's just to make sure that you do not buy a diamond that looks milky or cloudy because it will lack brilliance.
Next tip is budgeting. There is a lie in the industry, and it's the following: it is that you have to invest three months worth of your salary into buying a diamond ring. That's a complete marketing scam. You don't have to invest a penny more than you want to invest. And the second thing is the marketing lie that diamonds are rare; this is false, it's basically a cartel.
Next tip is should you buy online or offline? Most of the time, when you buy online you're going to save money. Why? Because the offline jeweler has to pay for the real estate, the taxes, and the advertising costs. Online, it doesn't cost anything and the advertising is less expensive. Also, when you go in a real jeweler, you will be sought out by the different sales people who will try to convince you that if you don't invest a couple of thousand dollars in the ring than you're a cheap bastard. Also, if you're going to buy online, make sure that they have a good return policy.
The last tip is a couple of things you can do to save money while buying your diamond ring. First thing is, you can buy one ring with lots of small diamonds; it looks fabulous and it costs less maybe, than buying a three stone diamond ring. Another thing you can do is, you might want to consider a trip to the pawn shop. Sometimes you will find amazing rings there for a low price.
