What you focus on you will master (thanks Dani Johnson)! Ask yourself, "What am I focusing on?" Am I prospecting or socializing? Am I focused on fruitless activities that yield no results OR taking consistent action sharing my opportunity to at least x amount of people a day (after you've built a relationship)?
We have to focus on the activities that bring the MOST results FAST! There are so many new gadgets out there that can make this stuff complicated, but really guys, it's simple. Its time to get rooted in a system that consists of clear-cut, strategic steps to create the results we are looking for (that's why we're in our business, right?).
The following model presents simple, duplicable activities to get the results you deserve:
#1 Prospecting
Eighty percent of your business hours should be spent prospecting (that's a huge chunk). Frustrated network marketers will say, "Im not sponsoring people in my business" or "this isn't working"...well, if you are not on the phone, contacting your leads or building relationships, you will have minimal results.
You simply cannot hide behind your computer and expect your bank account to grow! How many people have you called today?
The goal to prospecting is a finding a need and seeing if your company & leadership is a match for their need!
Not sure what to say? Well as the first sentence of this article says "What you focus on, you will master", therefore you have to FOCUS on prospecting. This is the activity that is going to make you money, so it cannot be put on the back burner. Hook up with Prospecting Kings & Queens like Cedrick Harris, Jeffery Combs, and Dani Johnson! Buy their stuff, listen to their trainings, and put it to action!
Remember, Prospecting is the #1 way to building your business...how long do you want to wait to learn this skill & leave money on the table?
#2 Schedule Them to a Business Presentation
There are many ways to have this done: webinar, conference call, pre-recorded call, live presentation, one-on-one, website model, or whatever your company has prepared for this step. Once you've contacted your prospect and they've express interest, plug them in!!! Send them the information on where to go and schedule the follow up appointment 24-48 hours later.
#3 Closing
Now, if you don't know how to close the door (close the sale), then steps #1 & #2 are in vain. Again, check out the names listed above & study their stuff. They are renowned in this EXACT area to sharpen your skills!
A powerful closing method is three-way calling, or using the Power Triangle. The goal here is to edify your leader, while they in turn, edify you. You see, people listen to experts. When you make your follow up call, having your leader on the line to share further insight and also confirm that YOU are the leader for them, is a powerful and effective strategy. It also emphasizes the concept of teamwork!
If you're not doing this daily, you are off track! Step #3 is your check! Therefore, you must be having appointments every day to live the dream life you're seeking!
Keep it simple, stick to the basics that will produce results!
#4 Start them off Properly
You got them in, so start them right! Having a system in place so that your new team member makes money in their first week is crucial. This affirms their belief in the company and will keep their momentum going.
Give them their homework assignment AS SOON AS THEY BECOME A DISTRIBUTOR! Plug them into your system which should be Steps #1-3 to get them results FAST. The key here is to get them in action IMMEDIATELY.
Don't complicate this! Keep your system simple so its duplicable & your prospects say "Hey, I can do this"!
Let's SIMPLIFY and go to WORK, doing the things that create results!
