Quality web content is the shortest way to get traffic and incoming links for our site. But, it is useless to create texts which offer truly original, relevant and interesting material to publish it only in our blog, and not to be distributed in order to achieve a deep penetration in our audience.
To do so, we must focus on two preferential channels: social networks and article directories. We have referred to what to upload and how to communicate on social networks in previous articles. In conclusion, we need to let our contacts know about the new articles we produce.
The blog of the site is the origin of the entire communication process. From the moment a note is published, it is like a child who takes his own way in life. It does not belong to the author anymore; it belongs to the whole community, which takes from it what it finds interesting, useful or entertaining and appropriates it. This does not imply that copying other authors´ texts, without mentioning their source, is allowed. We mean that internet and all the online texts are a social construction, they are put there to accomplish maximum diffusion, and by communicating them, we provide the chance to seize their content to those who read them. That is what doing and building a community is all about.
Then, we have our blog articles. There is the first place they must occupy. The idea relies basically on giving our loyal readers some exclusiveness, by allowing them to read our content before it is published on other sites. Once it has been uploaded to our site, we can distribute the related link on our social networks, so anyone who finds handy the proposed information, can read it by just clicking on it.
From this moment, we will upload our articles into article directories. We need to take some time to pick a select web of article directories, semantically related to our topics. If we are in the real state business, there will be no point in uploading scientific or gastronomic articles to our directory.
When you viralize your articles, do not focus on the possibility of getting incoming links, or on how Google is going to index us. Your content must be aimed to your public, to offer added value, relevant and interesting material and to position you as an authority in your field. Remember that the main idea is to create community, and to build your online reputation, the first requisite in order to make successful online business.
