Nothing is strange and preposterous in the fact that a great number of various chillers deferentially designed perform the same function; they chill. However the items or materials they are supposed to cool vary in many things thus the process of choosing a good chiller needs a thorough approach. The appropriate refrigeration device should be up to the mark .Thus, many even slight details together with peculiarities of the material that is meant to be cooled should not be ignored especially when it comes to business and industries needs.
All chillers can be roughly divided into two categories, those that work by air and the units operating by water. When it comes to industries where effective way of water is a must water-cooled refrigeration devices are just what is required. In spite of the fact that such refrigeration devices are very expensive and have high power-intensity and difficulty to operate they can be ideal for big industries and other facilities that have access to any flowing water reservoirs.
Such water cooled chillers are intended to be placed in the inside of the premise. In order to cool the condenser of the refrigerating equipment an intermediate heat-transfer agent is used which in its turn is chilled in ready water sources such as water-cooling tower and dry coolers. Provided that the operating water system has sufficient resource capacity to operate any additional requirements put on the system. In this case a water chiller is the most practical choice.
Here it is important to emphasize the fact that there are two types of cooling towers: open circuit and close circuit one. The first type offers cooling water with water and air however the second one achieves low temperature by using a sealed cooling system. It has been already mentioned above that it is possible also to carry out the process of cooling the condensers using natural resources of the neighbouring bodies of water.
The biggest advantage of this type of a chilling device is the ability of getting free cooling all year round. This means that the heat-transfer material can be cooled without a refrigeration cycle, by transferring the heat into the outside ambient and none of additional equipment is needed. The possibility of recuperation of condensation heat is another significant advantage of chillers that operate by water.
Additional equipments
When it comes to fine-tuned processes in order to make the utilization and maintenance of the chiller easier and more efficient you can focus upon some supplemental accessories that are distributed separately, here are some of the possible additional equipments:
-
pressure controller
-
pressure controller and bypass solenoid-controlled valve(only for THHE)
-
rubber isolation pads
-
visual display station
-
serial interface for connection with BMS (proprietary protocol)
-
series converter RS485/RS232 for centralized control
-
collectors for hydraulic junction
-
pumping station with accumulator PBHI
Thus, choosing any type of chillers for your business needs and supplemental accessories analyze thoroughly every factor of the specific and individual requirements.
Total Process Cooling propose a broad variety of trustworthy and reliable chillers such as air blast coolers, cooling towers, dry air coolers and pump station.
