Trade show booths with flash and visual interest may draw visitors, but do they convey their intended message effectively? Only with the right balance of interesting design features and product emphasis will your trade show exhibit have maximum impact.
Trade Show Booths: It's Not Just The Booth That Matters
There are many design companies that will create a flashy, eye-catching design that has no relation at all to the product promoted by the booth itself. The presenting company will often take this design and praise it for innovation, glad to have something that is sure to draw so many visitors. Few take a moment to consider how many of those visitors will remember the booth design compared with how many of those visitors will remember the products presented.
In order to have maximum effect, any display needs to simultaneously attract the attention of visitors, inspire them to look more closely, and communicate the product offered. The first task is obvious. trade show booths at any given convention will easily number in the hundreds, so your company must have a unique feature that makes it stand apart from the others. The second task is also clear: you want potential visitors to come look more closely, where your staff can discuss the product with them. But the final task is often forgotten.
A Trade Show Exhibit With The Right Emphasis
Working with a good design company is the best way to ensure that all three elements of a successful trade show exhibit are present in your display. The company should be able to weave your product into a larger, eye-catching display, possibly incorporating technology like a video screen or other interactive media. In addition, a good company will understand how the use of bright colors and flashy materials can be used to enhance a focal point.
Highlight Your Booth With Color
Color can be distracting, but when used properly, it is one of the most effective ways to grab the audience's attention. The key is to make it a highlight, catching the eye and then diverting the gaze immediately to a featured product. Bright colored arrows or borders do this quite well. Any type of unexpected material can serve the same purpose. Stainless steel is a great choice, as few visitors are expecting booths to have metal elements. In addition, stainless steel tends to add a modern feel, which is desirable if launching a new product. Whatever your material, always remember that it should lead the viewer's eye back to what the display is promoting.
The event is sure to be success if your display grabs the attention of attendees, is interesting enough to draw them to your booth, and communicates the product offered.
