Road Accident Claims : What Every Potential Claimant Should Know

‘No win no fee’ does not mean you get a 100% of the compensation awarded. Unless the claims company states that ‘you pay no fees and get a 100% compensation’ it is likely they will keep some of your money. Companies such as EasiGo state clearly in their adverts that clients pay no fees and keep all their compensation. Some companies keep up to half of your money.
Claims companies are paid through what is known as a CFA (Conditional Fee Agreement). There is no reason for any company to also try and keep a percentage of your compensation award.
Offers from the other party’s insurers to handle your claim directly will inevitably be lower than what you should get & should always be refused. Once you have agreed for them to sort your claim, you cannot change your mind when they make you a low offer. They are not in the business of looking after your interests- quite the opposite!
No claims company can state that they can get a certain figure for a claim, or that they can get you a higher amount than another company. All claims are different, both in terms of the injuries sustained, the existing health of the claimant, and by whether or not there is a level of contributory negligence ( ie: not wearing a seat belt).
Without having a detailed knowledge of the accident, and the injuries sustained,as well as the existing health of the claimant, no company can give an accurate assessment of what compensation you will receive. Wild claims should flag up a ‘caution’ sign to the reader.
Companies handling road accident claims must be registered with the Ministry of Justice ( M.O.J ), and must follow their guidelines. They should detail the fact they are registered, and display their registration number.
Handling your compensation claim is something all companies are happy to do. That does not help the driver when it comes to getting hios car repaired, providing them with alternative means of transport, or organizing specialist physiotheraphy etc, which is often needed to assure no lasting damage is done & to get you back to good health as soon as possible.
Accident management companies, such as EasiGo, offer this full service, all at no cost to the user- so why settle for less?
