If you live in Phoenix Arizona, you know how enjoyable

the winter time is, especially to exercise your dog outside.  But if you’re

a year long resident, then you also know

the sometimes agonizing heat that the summer months bring as well.

It’s not abnormal for the hottest days to continue up to 5 and 6

months.  And it’s during that time you

need to determine the best way to get your dog exercise without making him

endure that heat.  There are three choices available to you for completing

that goal.

1.

Swimming – If your canine loves swimming, this is a super alternative to a

visit at the dog park or neighborhood walk.  Just as it is for peope,

swimming is a joint

friendly, high intensity activity that helps keep your fit and healthy.

If your canine likes water but doesn’t like to swim, if you have room in your

backyard, having him

run while spraying him with cold water from the garden hose does the

trick.  Be sure he stays fairly wet from the water throughout the entire

playtime.

2. Have him walk

on the treadmill – there are a number of dog owners have actually trained

their canine to walk on a treadmill.  Although the thought is weird, it is

still a reasonable way

to exercise your dog.  And while training your dog might take some

timeat the start, the benefits of this instruction will offer years of

satisfaction.  A word of caution,

your dog should never be left alone walking on the apparatus once he grasps

the technique.

3. Take you dog to the gym – Another option of exercise for your dog,

which may

provide the biggest advantage for you and your canine is to take him to a

designated canine gym.  Phoenix has an indoor facility that can be rented

out for play and

exercise.  It’s been appropriately dubbed a "gym for dogs." In there

your little one can run and play for the duration of the time the rental has

been allotted for.  The

facility is Arizona Dog Sports and when it is not being used as a exercise

yard, it is filled with classes where qualified trainers are dog training

Phoenix and the

surrounding areas.  It’s a convenient location and owned by a woman who

is knowledgeable and passionate about dogs.

If you are trying to find a way to keep your little one

active, fit, and healthy during the summer months in Phoenix.  These are

three great things you can do to exercise your dog and give him the workout he

requires.

Exercising your dog is an important part of his overall health and wellbeing. Hot Phoenix days make that task difficult. Az Dog Sports is a premier indoor exercise facility. Created to meet your indoor exercise and dog training needs. In addition to, dog training Phoenix, Scottsdale, and surrounding areas, they offer a number of canine services.
