The main continent on the planet of Hellifyno, cultural and symbolic center of supernatural activity, is coming into the dog days of its warmest summer months. Across the land temperatures are averaging from 85 – 95 degrees Fahrenheit, with a few sweltering days topping 100 in the capital city of Consequence.

THE BLOOD HUNT

Friday, July 9th was the day of the Great Fae Blood Hunt. This is an ancient event that is practiced by the mystical Fae, a magical race of extraordinairy power. Locked away in another dimension for centuries, the Fae have recently broken through into the realms of reality and are making their presence known across the universe.

The Blood hunt is traditionally a Fae event, where bounties are placed on the heads of certain creatures and individuals. Hunters are then paid these bounties if they are able to kill or capture those on the list. Occasionally hunters are able to put themselves on these lists and become the hunted. If they survive the hunt, they themselves are paid these bounties.

This year the event was extended in an attempt by the Fae Overlords to kill the most powerful creatures and cast chaos and confusion across the universe. This was done by turning the event into a hunt of hybrids, which used racial predjudice and bigotry to fan the flames of violence.

On Hellifyno the Blood Hunt was perpetrated specifically by the VC enforcers, a warrior arm of Hellifyno’s Vampire Council. Led by Elexin Harbindale, the VC Enforcers started off with the best of intentions, seeking merely to register vampires and vampire hybrids across the planet. However things took an insidious turn when they began imprisoning, and even exterminating the creatures they were supposed to be protecting.

Millions were hurt or killed during the Blood Hunt, however many of these were hunters or Fae themselves trying to collect the bounties. Terrified by the possibility of being ethnically cleansed, hybrids banded together with others of sympathetic value to oppose the Hunters who sought to collect on the bloody bounties.

The end result was that the Fae overlords were bankrupt, their armies were decimated, and the populations they sought to weaken have now banded together against a common enemy.

ELEXIN HARBINDALE

Early on in the genesis of the government of Hellifyno, Elexin Harbindale took on the position of leader of the Vampire Council for this planet, and liaison between the government of Hellifyno, and the greater council at large.

After the violence of the Blood Hunt died down, Havoc, the Lord Executive of Hellifyno, ordered the arrest Elexin for his alleged connection to the planning and execution of that event. This order was carried out by newly appointed Grand Marshall Demaar Nobu, who reluctantly put the vampire elder in silver handcuffs, and then, releasing him a moment later, escorted him to a cell in the royal palace.

Immediately complaints were filed by the law office of Luper, Needle, and Parker, representing the interests of the United Space Federation. They claimed that the arrest of Elexin was illegal due to the fact that he was a diplomat from the Federation, and thus enjoyed the luxury of diplomatic immunity. Further, since Havoc had signed a treaty agreeing to make Hellifyno a provisional member of the Federation, that his government was subject to the intergalactic rules of that governing body.

Elexin was arraigned before the people of Hellifyno, in a town hall style meeting led by Havoc, and his newly appointed Pro Consul – Tye Sampson. There the people of Hellifyno were able to air their grievances, and attest to the guilt, or innocence of Elexin, in perpetrating the Blood Hunt.

While many had misgivings about his role, the eventual conclusion reached was that a squid like monster named Bokrug had taken psychic control of Elexin, forcing him to take the actions that led to the execution of the Blood Hunt. Subsequent verification by Daloki, and a governmental Mind Flayer, attested to the fact that the presence was now gone from Elexin’s mind.

After being acquitted Elexin decided to leave Hellifyno, for the safety of himself, and those around him.

MARRIAGES AND BIRTHS

Lord Havoc – Leader and Executive of Hellifyno has officially marked Jayden as his mate. The ceremony of Pain and Flame took place Saturday, July 13, 2010. It effectively unites them through this life and the next, connecting them with bonds both magical and intrinsic.

Elexin Harbindale and Daloki were married Monday night in the Blue Moon Tavern. Harry the Bartender performed the ceremony, and Raelin Wolvarian Aero, and John Smith II acted as attendants on the event. The after party was catered by Teery.

Amia L Lunarclaw gave birth to twins late Monday night. Cadence and Connor were both born healthy and already able to walk and talk, thanks to the beeping birthing skills of Dr. Dragon Teers.

EZRA AND PROJECT ALICE

Ezra Bin Nod, the Maker of Elexin Harbindale, and the Kiasyd of the vampire race, was kidnapped recently by Megadon under the auspices of Pentex. This crime was perpetrated in order to extract his blood, for use in an experimental procedure being developed under the name Project Alice. There may also be a connection between this experiment, and the Blood Hunt’s search for hybrid vampires.

After being captured, Devlin Bester, a reformed Wyrm Spawn and the leader of The Dawn – planned a daring raid into their facilities to rescue him from their clutches. Led by Raelin Wolvarian Aero, a crack team broke in, defying Wyrm Spawn to rescue him from Research Base Alice.

THE FAE WAR

Despite setbacks from the Blood Hunt, the Fae army continues to spread across the universe. Every day more planets fall to this growing menace. The hostilities have reached a massive scale, with several empires being drawn into the conflict. The Fae are threatening several fronts including the Slayer Empire, the Federation, and Lord Viktor’s Vampiric territories. Nobody has been able to put up an effective defense against their unstoppable forces, leading many to speculate pessimistically on the future of reality itself.

THE GOVERNMENT OF HELLIFYNO

Lord Havoc has been expanding the power of the Government of Hellifyno in response to the violence perpetrated planet wide on the day of the Blood Hunt. To this end the following positions have been created in order to care for the administrative concerns of the planet on a day to day basis.

Proconsul

Head Marshal of the Civil Defense Department

Knight Defender of the Realm

Spymaster

Head Medicus of the Hellifyno Emergency Defense Department

Chief Executive in Charge of Taxation

Lord Ambassador for the Planet of Hellifyno

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

The government is currently seeking to fill these positions with the most capable citizens available, and Lord Havoc will be posting a list of those chosen, along with their governmental powers shortly.
