How Can I Make Money Online

Many people are under the impression that you can just buy some e-book or video course and within days you will be making money online. If only this was the case we would all be rich.

As someone with over 8 years in Internet Marketing can I just let you know that making money online is not that easy. It's a long learning curve and takes hard work and dedication to succeed in any online business.

Before you start any online business there are a few things I would suggest you do first to save yourself a lot of heartache.

Decide on the hours you are going to commit to your business and discuss this with your spouse. Internet Marketing can take over your life and before you know it you could be spending all of your spare time on the computer leaving no time for your family. You need to find balance in your life before it causes problems.

Decide on how much money (if any) you wish to invest in your business and stick to this budget to begin with. (you can always invest any profit later to help your business to grow). Of course money is the main reason people turn to the internet anyhow and is usually in short supply. You will however need some cash to get started for a domain name and hosting etc. so don't expect to do it all for free.

Whatever else you do keep away from the "next must have product mentality" This is where you skip from product to product buying everything that drops into your email box saying you must have this product. You will end spending more than you earn and you will never make money on the internet.

So How Much Money Do You Need To Get Started And What Do You Need.

Domain Name - Approx $10

Hosting - Around $10 or less per month

HTML Editor - This is necessary to edit your website but there are plenty of good free ones out there. Just google "free website builder"

Product To Sell

To begin with I would suggest rather than creating your own product you sell someone else's. You can register on places like ClickBank and PayDotCom and become an affiliate for some great products that will pay you 50% - 80% commisions.

If you wish to create your own product this is really not that hard to do. If you have particular area of interest you could write an ebook on that topic. An alternative way is to buy a ready made product with Master Resale Rights or Plr Rights. These products usually come with a ready made sales page which just requires your payment link inserting and uploading to your website and your ready to go. So you have everything set up and you can just sit back and watch the money roll in......wrong. This is one of the biggest mistakes people make and when it doesn't happen of they go and buy another product. Once you have your site set up you now need to make a commitment to making it work and for this to happen you need to get visitors to your site.
