Everyday more and more people are converting their old gas engine cars into Hydrogen Engine cars (water power cars) and reaping the benefits of great gas mileage improvements. And as strange as it might sound it is really not that difficult to convert gas engines to hydrogen especially with the instructions available on the internet these days.
I’m sure that you have all heard of the so called water fuelled cars, water power cars, or cars that run on water. Well these water power cars are nothing new; in fact the first one was invented way back in the eighteen hundreds by a Swiss inventor called Isaac de Rivas. Since then many other people have modified or re-invented the same principle of using water turned into hydrogen gas to supplement the gasoline in an ordinary gas engine and basically converting it into a Hydrogen Engine.
So just how do you convert your gas engine to a Hydrogen Engine?
Any mechanic or person with a general knowledge of cars can convert a gas engine to a hydrogen engine. All the basic parts can be bought cheaply from your local hardware store or auto parts dealer. The basic installation consists of a small reservoir of water mounted next to your engine; this water vessel also contains some steel plates, a catalyst and a small amount of electrical wiring.
When all this is put together and running properly a process of electrolysis is started where electricity is used to change a small amount of the water into HHO gas. As water is made up of Hydrogen and Oxygen the Hydrogen atoms are separated from the Oxygen atoms and turned into Hydrogen gas. This Hydrogen gas is then fed into the inlet manifold of your cars engine where it is mixed with the ordinary gasoline from your gas tank. (Yes I’m afraid it won’t run on water alone but the gas mileage improvements are really very good).
Ok so how expensive is it to convert your gas engine to hydrogen?
Like I mentioned before all the parts that you need to convert your gas engine to hydrogen can be bought cheaply and locally, and once you have your instruction guide which you can download from the internet (I have included a link to some of the best guides available at the end of this article) you could have it up and running for less than $150
What sort of gas mileage improvements can I expect?
The amount of fuel you will save by converting your gas engine to hydrogen will vary quite a bit from vehicle to vehicle and also depend on size of engine and make and model. Most reports say that a fuel saving of around twenty percent is about the norm. Also as the Hydrogen engine burns fuel more efficiently it also burns it a lot cleaner so it drastically cuts down on harmful exhaust emissions so you will not only be great gas mileage improvements, you will also be doing your bit for the environment.
So now you know just how cheap and easy it is to convert you gas engine to hydrogen why not check it out for yourself.
