What is sexuality?
Human sexuality has been part of human existence from creation. It is the desire and urge for sexual activity. The creator, created all living creatures with the feeling and capacity for sex and sexual pleasure and enjoyment. Next to sleeping and eating, it seems that it is one of the most important drives we have to deal with as humans. That is, it takes up so much of our time in thought and behaviour that it sometimes seems that every facet of our life revolves around this to a certain extent.
The importance of our sexuality
Human sexual behaviour is different from the sexual behaviour of other animals, in that, it seems to be governed by a variety and interplay of different factors. That is, while "lower" animals or species are driven by a "force" to reproduce and therefore partake in sexual behaviour. Humans are not sexually active just for the sake of reproduction, rather, there are a variety of complex factors that lead people to have sex. The creator intended for sex among human to be engaged in for pleasure and not just for procreation
Information on our sexuality
There are many problems parents encounter today, despite different social contexts, one certainly stands out, giving children an adequate preparation for adult life, particularly with regard to education in the true meaning of sexuality. There are many reasons for this difficulty and not all of them are new. It is important to discuss sex at a very early age in the home. The is our God given responsibility to teach our children of how they were created with those organs, the importance of them and how they should be used
People's attitude towards sex
Sexuality beliefs also leads to much putting down of men for their "frivolous" sex behaviour, not just because of serious consequences that men might be overlooking but because "human sex should be serious and you men don't treat it seriously enough. Men are perceived as being aggressive, wild, greedy and always wanting sex, While women are wrongly some times perceived as being passive, not interested and being there to fulfil men's desires for sex. Most people do not like to discuss their sexual feelings, as though it is some thing that is wrong. We should be proud of how the created made us with sexual organs and the desire for sexual pleasure. Read some more..
