Hunter Wine Valley is one of the oldest, most popular tourism regions in Australia. It is located approximately 100 miles from Sydney, and is growing fast in its own right. In fact, the Hunter Valley region is the sixth most visited region in Australia. Although best known for its fantastic wineries and vineyards, this area has become so much more.
The Hunter Valley region is in the New South Wales portion of Australia. This place has some of the most scenic views in all of the valley country. The rolling hills and fragrant vineyards make it understandable that over 2 million tourists come here every year. Some don't simply visit the Hunter Wine Valley, they come to stay.
This area is growing both economically, and in population, as people begin to flock here. New residential developments are going up all the time. One of the best attractions to this beautiful destination is that it's very family friendly. The environment is pleasant and affordable for those wanting to relocate.
Another of the reason people are interested in the Hunter Valley region is its respected wine history. There are family wine makers in this valley, who have been making quality products for years and years. This valley has some of the best red and white wines you can find in Australia. A visit to the Hunter Valley would not be the same if you didn't try the wines that make this area famous.
In the center of the lower valley, is the Pokolbin area. Pokolbin has the largest number of vineyards. It is also a tourist haven, because of its choice restaurants, shops, and golf courses. This part of the valley simply caters to the visitors, who love it. There are even quaint guesthouses, available for that romantic getaway.
The Hunter Valley region offers a traditional variety of wines, for both the connoisseur and the amateur to enjoy. Their popular Shiraz and Semillon make the region a desired destination. But this area also has extensive vineyards that provide both Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon. There are also smaller concentrations of vineyards offering delicious Pinot Noir.
Tourists who come to this area are inspired to explore their surroundings. All around are exquisite sights and sounds of this valley location. It is a great place to get a feel for all of Australia. Since Sydney is so close by, tourists of the Hunter Valley region can easily take a day trip to explore the city life.
There are all sorts of opportunities in the Hunter Wine Valley, some of which are economic. Many will come and be excited enough to want to buy property. Others will simply fall in love with this area. Those will be the lifelong visitors, coming again and again to a place that provides so much.
With all it has to offer the Hunter Valley region will only become even more popular. It doesn't matter whether you visit for business or pleasure, it's just a great place to experience!
