There are foods that burn fat and boost the body’s metabolism. These are the foods you need to help your body through these processes and trim off your weight gain after pregnancy.
You can find great tasting foods that easily burn fat and together with your exercise after birth can show positive results. Here are some of these foods:
• Citrus Fruits
Citrus fruits help the body in releasing fat. Almost all of them have the ability to burn fat like tangerine, oranges, grapefruits, lemon and limes. They contain vitamin C which is also known as ascorbic acid. Vitamin C blocks the bad effects of fat by reducing its content and diluting it. When fat is diluted it becomes less harmful, easier to get out of the body and helps you in losing weight after birth.
Vitamin C also helps burn out cholesterol and prevents it from building up in the blood vessels. By eating citrus fruits daily with your meals and snacks, you can improve and speed up your metabolism and make the fat burning process faster. It can help you keep your cholesterol levels in control.
• Ginger
Ginger has a great ability to burn fat. It is a kind of spicy ingredient which you can take in like tea after boiling with water. It can improve your blood circulation by opening up the blood vessels, thus speeding up the metabolism. It is also good when blended with other citrus fruits and helps remove your weight gain after pregnancy. Some can eat ginger as it is raw.
• Garlic
Garlic is very effective in burning fat and boosting your immune system. Garlic oil reduces fat deposits and lowers the levels of fat in the body. Garlic, garlic juice, garlic oil and any food with garlic in it serve as antibiotic which can help cure certain ailments. Garlic regulates blood sugar and maintains low insulin levels.
• Soybeans
Soybeans have lecithin which shields the cells and reduces fat accumulation. It is a chemical that protects your cells from fat deposits and melts fat deposited in your body tissues. Therefore eating soybeans a few times a week can make losing weight after birth easier and faster.
• Oatmeal (whole grains)
It’s a great way to start the day with a bowl of warm oatmeal rich in fiber which makes blood sugar levels stable and prevents fatigue. When you add non-fat milk to your oatmeal, it becomes a double fat-burner because calcium and fiber are great fat burning foods.
• Nut and Beans
Nuts and beans are not only good tasting and nutritious; they also contain fiber which speeds up your metabolism. The rich protein content helps build lean muscle tissues which can burn more calories faster than fatty tissues.
• Other Foods
Olive oil, cayenne pepper and cinnamon are also fat burning foods. Extra virgin olive oil is a source of good fat that the body needs. It can provide at least 85% of the daily monounsaturated fat which can help in burning fat and keep low cholesterol levels. Cayenne pepper and other hot peppers help burn more calories hours after meals. Just a small amount (like ¼ teaspoon) of cinnamon can lower the blood sugar level in the body.
Eating these fat burning foods can make your exercise after birth more effective in losing weight. Remember to take plenty of water which is always necessary to be successful in any weight loss program.
