You can actually monitor and time your sexual intercourse to be in sync with the most fertile time of the month. There are three ways to identify the most fertile days of your menstrual cycle and increase the likelihood of successfully starting a pregnancy. These three methods are natural ways of predicting the time for conception and answering the question Are you fertile? You can monitor your fertility easily through the three fertility markers - namely the cervical fluid test, the cervical position identification and the basal body temperature.
One way to answer your question Are you fertile is the vaginal secretions as it usually signifies fertility. You may want to learn more about it to help you understand when the perfect timing is. This secretion could be the cervical mucus which is actually secreted by the cervix. This secretion is produced in large quantities during the menstrual cycles but is kept at a minimum quantity after the period is over, causing the woman to feel dry.
The normal consistency of the cervical mucus during the start of the menstruation is cloudy and thick. When the cycle is in the middle period, the mucus turns into clear, slippery, and stretchy mucus, just like the consistency of an egg white. This is an indication that you are getting fertile.
You can check the mucus yourself so that you can actually feel and see the difference when the change occurs. You can do this by wiping your vagina before urination. Making sure your hands are washed and clean, gently place your fingers into the opening of your vagina and collect a portion of the mucus. Note the consistency, color and elasticity of the mucus. If the mucus stretches by spreading the fingers without breaking and is clear in color, it is a sign that you are fertile.
The second marker for fertility test is to check your cervical position. The cervix changes its position as the cycle goes every month. But this fact is not really known to most women. During the cycle, the cervix changes its position and this is a major indication that a woman is fertility. Observe and monitor its position daily for accuracy.
The normal position of the cervix at the start of the cycle is in low position. As the cycle goes to its end, the cervix begins to get to a higher position. To check its position, you can insert your clean finger and feel your cervix. The tissue that feels rounded cylindrical mass is the cervix.
Another way to answer the question 'are you fertile' is by measuring the basal body temperature (BBT). BBT is the body's baseline temperature. Any increase in the temperature, even by half a Fahrenheit can indicate something about your fertility. BBT is normally lower at the earlier part of the cycle. On the day of the ovulation, the temperature increases slightly. It will then stay at that level until the start of the next cycle or continue to stay slightly elevated if you become pregnant.
To get an accurate BBT, it should be taken first thing in the morning just before getting up from your bed. You can use an oral thermometer but make sure to apply utmost care, which means no sipping of water before the procedure as it can alter your BBT. You can put the results in a chart for monitoring, and you will recognize the changes of your BBT from time to time. This will help you to determine when the right time is for fertility and for a successful pregnancy.
These three ways which can help you answer the question Are you fertile? can all be used to determine fertility. But even if you use just one of these, you can still get the accurate result as long as you do the procedures the right way. You can be pregnant at the right time if you know when the perfect timing is. Just by monitoring your body changes during your cycle you can easily answer the question Are you fertile? and have a successful pregnancy.
