The Dickies Company originally started by two young men by the names of EE. Dickie and C.N. Williamson. Dickie and Williamson started their company in 1922 in Bryan, Texas. They wanted to create a company that could be strong enough for the everyday worker and durable to outlast other products consumers were purchasing at the time. After the Great Depression, when WWII was starting, many calls were made to Dickie and Williamson to make uniforms for oversea soldiers fighting. Around the 1950's is when their company really took off. As of now, the Dickies Company owns stores in all of the 50 states in the United States along with multiple countries, including parts of Europe as well as the Middle East.
When the company first started out they were driven by clothes as their first order of business. Nowadays their store inventory surpasses clothing. One of the more popular non-clothing items they carry is their Dickies backpack. Their backpack is strong enough to carry laptops and numerous books. Dickies offers different styles of bags that come with different zippers. You can hold a music device in certain pockets and a calculator and or pencils in another pocket on a particular backpack. The backpacks also comes in different sizes. Obviously the larger ones will cost a little bit more and the smaller ones will cost a little bit less. The average price of a Dickies bag is roughly $20 to $50 dollars. Again, that was a rough estimate, because some backs sold through Dickies can cost way less than $20 dollars, but do not be surprised to see a bag cost over $50 dollars either.
Dickies backpacks stay up to beat with current trends in the fashion world. They come in every color you can think of and just about every design and shape. Plus the Dickies backpacks come in their signature navy blue as well. If you are familiar with Dickies at all, you will notice their workers apparel and all of their other products come in that same navy blue. When the company first started, they used the navy blue as well as black, as their two main colors for workers overalls, because the darker colors hid the dirt better than the lighter colors could.
A Dickie backpack is a very smart choice. If you invest in a Dickie backpack, you will notice the money you will be saving later on down the road. The Dickie backpack is made so durable and with so much quality that on certain bags they even offer a life time guarantee. Now that is saying a lot about a specific product, if you ask me. They feel so strongly about their product they are telling you, you will not have to re-invest in the same product. Obviously they would not offer an individual a lifetime warranty if they did not feel good about their work, I mean just think about how much money they would lose if they had to keep giving away bags, because their warranty did not uphold.
