Hey Guys,
Thanks again for continuously reading my updates. As always, I am excited about this topic that I’ll be discussing today, article writing and submission which is a continuation of my previous email.
Ok, so you are done with your article and did it well enough that you are feeling confident it will trigger curiosity from the targeted users and hits or links for your website. You followed all instructions and tips in optimizing your articles to the tee. What is then, your next step? Submission to the web directories, of course.
Article writing and submission, as mentioned in my previous email, is one of the quickest way to showcase your website globally. By getting the web directories to publish your articles for free, you open the gates to more websites linking to your page and increased traffic for your website, as well. Thus, your chances of landing a good ranking in the search engine results pages increases and so does your revenue.
Once you are done writing your articles, the choices on the next step to take are now narrowed down to just two, whether to go bulk article submission or be more selective. Before you make a final decision on this, let me give you a quick review of how search engines work in terms of ranking websites. It has been said time and again that the search engines are after the quality of your links, not the quantity. Quality refers to two things, the relevance of the website that linked to yours and the importance of that linking website.
If you do bulk
submission of your articles, what are the odds of your website being noticed by the search engine bots? Well, probably much less than if you submitted your article to a selected few but high quality web directories.
Point in case, article writing and submission to a bulk number of web directories would mean you have engaged in an untargeted marketing strategy. In other words, your article may have been sent to sites that are not at all related to your product, let alone your topic. Most probably these websites will only decline your proposal. Next, getting the approval of the major web directories for publishing your articles takes time. If you do bulk submission, by the time you do get approved, the minor players would most likely have already published your article. Since search engines do maintain a minimum level in displaying copies of your article, they use a hierarchical prioritization technique. The spider bots would report the first batch of detected copies and then display some of it. Thus, with bulk article submission, you run the risk of being associated with websites of less importance as they do get to publish your article faster than the major websites. In effect… well actually, there is no notable effect at all with this scenario.
On the contrary, submitting your
articles to a selected few where relevance is the top most criteria could get you a higher chance of getting approval and links from other websites that are related to your product. As in any work, be smart in your approach on your tasks so you can spend more time doing productive activities.
Thanks again for reading!
With best wishes, believe me,
Cordially yours,
Bart Marsala
