You what a set of six pack abs - that's why you're reading this. The two most important things for getting a ripped six pack are exercise and food.

In fact, the only two things you should worry about are exercise and food (eating right). Everything else is just so much extra words. So, here's what you need to be aware of...

  • Intense HIIT Training -

HIIT, or High Intensity Interval Training, is your ticket for the right cardio training. This is a distinct change from the jog-on-a-treadmill-for-hours-and-hours approach.

With HIIT, you do short bursts of very intense activity followed by longer periods of recovery. Just remember to do a warmup first so you don't hurt yourself! For example, a common HIIT routine is…

• Sprint for 30 seconds

• Walk for 45 seconds to recover

• Sprint for 30 seconds

• Walk for 45 seconds to recover

Do that for 10 intervals of sprint-then-rest (12.5 minutes) to start. And if you're not sweating and on the verge of collapsing at the end of it, you aren't sprinting hard enough ;-)

  • Ab Exercises -

To develop your abs you need to do ab exercises. Simple and logical.

Just crunches and more crunches, right? Wrong.

You need a variety of ab exercises to hit all 4 of your abdominal muscles. Your rectus abdominis, the 'six pack' muscle, is only one of the muscles you need to strengthen for a six pack. A ripped six pack that's strong as well as alluring.

Also, you need to increase the intensity of the exercises you're doing. Just pumping out more and more crunches, after a point, won't make your ab muscles bigger and bigger.

  • Eat Right -

Eating right is your other must-do for losing belly fat. Once you get rid of your fat you'll be able to see your abs much better, making their development all the more apparent.

As a basic rule, eat slightly less calories than you need to maintain your current bodyweight. This, combined with your exercise regime, will make sure that you burn fat off and start to reveal the muscles beneath.

And eat real food that will nourish you and your sore & growing abs. Eat stuff that's as unprocessed as you can find it. Food that looks like it did when the decision was made to turn it into food.

Tuna, salmon, fruits, vegetables, a lean steak, and milk are all great choices. Reese's peanut butter cups, chips, cola, and other sweet drinks and eats are all out.

  • Bringing It All Together... -

Even just working on these three aspects of exercise and eating right can be challenging, especially if you haven't worked out regularly recently.

So, how can you work it into a battle-plan to get six pack abs?...
