School season is back in full swing again. Refreshed from their summer breaks, our children are all geared up to see their friends again in school. And nothing beats facing a new season more than a new look! During the summer break, you may have kept a shorter length to help them survive the sun and heat. Now that fall is here, along with hectic morning routines, they need fresh hairstyles that require only minimal styling.

For example, having your daughter’s hair cut with stylish layers may look great, but if neither of you has time in the morning to style it, it is better to go for one-length cuts which are basically wash-and-wear. A very trendy haircut that does not require too much styling is a bob. It can also have instant flair simply by adding in some chic hair accessories. And voila—she is ready to rule her school!

Here are some more hair styling tips to give your daughter a great look this fall:

For Girls

Young girls who are nearing their teens are already forming their own body image. At this period, they begin becoming more and more concerned about how they look. They may make a fuss about getting the most fashionable haircut - one that they have seen their favorite celebrity sporting. There’s nothing wrong with your daughter wanting to look her best, of course. But you have to consider how much time and effort such a hairstyle will require.

  • If the whole family is in a rush each morning to get ready, it may be a better idea to stick to one-length haircuts. If she gets bored with it, she can always try experimenting with the many different ways to style it with hair accessories.

  • If she has her heart set on a layered cut, then go for long layers that add a little movement to her hair.

  • Invest in cute hair clips or headbands to keep her hair away from her face. This will help her see the blackboard or computer screen easier.

For Teens

Teens are at a point in their lives when they are establishing their own identity. So expect a lot of experimentation with different haircuts and hairstyles. No need to worry. This is just one of the many ways that your daughter is expressing her individuality.

  • Let her hair grow a little longer and then have it cut it into layers. This will create lovely soft waves, which are in vogue this season. This style does not take too much effort and is usually pretty by itself. But she can also accentuate those waves with hair accessories.

  • If she is not into waves, she can also go for classic straight cuts. Blunt-shape styles with the heavy fringe and texturized ends will give her a unique edge.

  • If she wants to keep it short, then she can freshen it up with choppy bangs and lovely hairclips for a very feminine look.
