Spas are a place where individuals go to relax, take a break and beautify their skin. Every spa is different and has many unique treatments to offer. A variety of popular treatments given are body wraps, salt glows and facials. Each one of these spa treatments are relaxing and most importantly energizing. After a spa visit you will find your body completely at ease, refreshed and ready to take on another long day at work or at home with your children.
Body wraps
Body wraps are extremely beneficial to the pores in your skin. Depending on the spa treatment center you visit, the body wrap will either consist of mud, seaweed, clay, or algae. These wraps are all detox treatments used to rid the body of toxins. To start off the procedure, the treatment is rubbed over every inch of your body and then wrapped for 15-20 minutes to maintain your bodies heat. After the procedure is through, the treatment is rinsed off and lotion is applied to your skin. The body wrap is relaxing and every ounce of invigorating.
Salt Glows
This particular body treatment is highly popular at any spa facility. The main purpose of the salt glow treatment is to exfoliate your skin, leaving it remarkably smooth and vibrant. The salt glow procedure starts when the therapist rubs a mixture of sea salt, oil and aromatics into your skin. After the mixture is rub in, you then rinse off the salt mixture. Its beneficial to your skin if you do not use body wash during the rinsing. The aromatics and salt is very healthy for the pores in your skin. Some spas offer a six headed shower where you are able to lay down and be bathed by your therapist. The experience is invigorating.
Facials
A facial is designed to clean, exfoliate and nourish your skin during the procedure. A facial is also referred to as a deep-cleansing facial or a deep-pore cleansing. A facial always begins with a thorough cleansing of your face with a cotton pad or sponge. After the cleansing you are given one of many treatments of your choice. Some of your choices may be exfoliation, skin analysis, extraction or a facial massage. After the massage and treatments a skin toner and protective lotion is applied on your skin. A facial every 4-6 weeks is ideal for almost anyone, that is the time it takes for you skin to rejuvenate.
