In order to sell anyone on an mlm business there is one thing that you have to do: Build a list. This is a list of names that are, not a list of all your family and friends, but of people who have expressed interest in you in some way. To have a list means you have a group of people who over time will become more comfortable with the idea of doing business with you. Those people who have already bought from you are your warm prospects while those who know nothing about you are cold leads; it is much better to work with warm leads which is what your list will be.
After you build a list you now have the opportunity to build a relationship with the people on your list. The way you do this is by marketing your website to generate leads. There is one important thing to consider when you decide which website to promote. Corporate websites that you receive for network marketing companies are not your own website. Your own website will have the URL that you have chosen. When you own everything, the website and the URL, you will be different from everyone else who is promoting the corporate website.
The best thing to promote would be a capture page that is not attached to the corporate autoresponder. This should be the only way you will ever think of to build a list. If you were to send leads to the corporate website that has a sign up page that is connected to the company's autoresponder, the list belongs to them. Sometimes mlm companies go out of business and you will not have the ability to take your people to another company because you do not own the list. Furthermore, you may feel dissatisfied with the way things are going in your current company and want to leave for another company, but because you did not brand yourself with your own website the people on your list will not feel loyalty to you.
Your main goal is to build a list so that you can then build relationships with everyone. Attraction marketing will be the technique that you can use to accomplish these goals. With attraction marketing you will promote yourself as someone who has value to other people not as someone who has something to sell. The point of promoting your own capture page is so that the people who sign up to be on your email list will end up in your autoresponder so you will want to offer an incentive for them to do so. An example of something that you can offer to people is a free training course that will help them accomplish something in their businesses.
Build a list and cultivate relationships with the people on this list and they will be the people you will offer your products to. This means that you will not introduce your products/services or your business opportunity until now. The fact of the matter is that people do not want to hear about your business the second you meet them. Turn your cold leads into warm leads and then you can tell them what a great business opportunity you have for them.
How you build a list will determine how successful you will be when you begin building a downline. To learn more about how to build an email address list correctly without annoying the people around you visit expert marketer A. D. Kellon’s blog.
