This kind of marketing is effectively the latest in a long line of methods to raise the profile of companies. With the old techniques of issuing a press release and hoping that someone would read it, these were all a bit hit or miss. However, now there is no question that you can contact a wider audience with your emails and other forms of marketing. There are so many social sites out there nowadays that it is almost impossible not to reach people with your message. This doesn’t mean that you will always get the desired results though. It just means that by the law of averages there is more chance as you are contacting more people about your products and services and thus all efforts must be viewed in ROI terms, just as any other business investment.

In conclusion, and as most news articles will tell you nowadays, the world of marketing has changed and will never be the same again. It is easier than ever before to contact and interact with customers anywhere across the globe. Despite these fundamental changes, the goals when it comes to marketing haven’t altered at all and remain the same as always.
