The key when dealing with bed bugs is removing the bugs without harming yourself or others that live in you environment, in most cases pesticides are used which can be potentially dangerous.
Finding the Bed Bug Problem
The best way to start detecting where your bed bug problem is originating where they are most likely to infest. Bed mites feed off of warm blooded living things such as mammals and humans, in most cases they will be around the areas you are around the most. Places such as mattresses and furniture is the usual culprits of infestations, as these bugs stay close to where they can feed at night. Places with crevices and cracks are most preferred to the bed mites as they can hide the best, such areas as baseboards and walls should be checked thoroughly. A good place to start would be getting rid of your old mattress and sofa as these are primary spots for bed bug infestation to occur.
Painting is a trick for indirectly killing them, it acts like a pest control agent and it seeps into the furniture frames and bed frames. If you are going to be using paint, you should choose a paint that is safe and will not harm your breathing within the house. When painting indoors you should have good ventilation and only use it in open areas of the house to prevent any problems. Painting baseboards and walls may seal off the cracks and crevices in which the bed bugs find perfect hiding places.
If you are having problems eradicating your bed mite problem, we would suggest using organic chemical sprays to control the bugs. In these types of infestations we suggest you call a competent pest controller to ensure that you and your family are safe while they exterminate the bed bugs.
