There are four personality types, fire, wind, water and ice. The one that you will motivate with the great lifestyle network marketing companies give you will be the fire; the ones who will enjoy the opportunity to talk to a lot people about the business will be the wind; those who will enjoy having the opportunity to help other people are your water; and those who will conduct their businesses in perfect order will be the ice. Once you figure which personality type you are engaging with you can become a chameleon and be more like that person. How do you determine the personality type?
A lot of times you can tell the personality types by observing them. One of the most obvious personality types is the fire because they like to show off their success in the oppulence of their dress and their cars. Those who dress in order to make people take notice will undoubtedly be your wind types. They will have a ton of makeup on and their hair may be a color that isn't found in nature. They are also the ones who are hugging everyone even those that they are not particularly close to. The water type does not like to call so much attention to themselves because they are focused on other people so they, typically, are not wearing a lot of makeup. Like the water type, the ice type also will not dress to show off their success because they would rather be dressed conservatively.
Even when you cannot see the person, like when you are on the phone with someone, you can determine to which of the personality types they belong. There are questions you can ask that will give you the clues you need. First find out what they do for a living. One way to know the fire type is to know that they are in a profession that does not keep them in one place doing the same thing all day. The wind types can be found in jobs that require them to do a lot of talking such as jobs that are in the customer service industry. If the person is in a helping profession it is likely that you have found a water type. Someone who is in an analytical profession may be an ice type.
The next question should be to find out how long the prospect has been doing his current job. The answer you are looking for is one that tells you the prospect has been in the current position a consistently long time which may mean there is a perfect personality match. If you are talking to someone that may just be starting out you can ask them what got them into that profession; this will help to narrow down the motivations for them being in their profession and you will be able to make a definitive decision as to which personality types they are.
It is imperative that you learn the personality types intimately before you begin prospecting in a network marketing business. They tell you a lot about the person and what will work and what will not when pitching a business opportunity. The network marketing presentation that shows the great lifestyle is great for the fire and wind types, but your water and ice will be left cold. Without personality training you might follow your sponsors and present the same way to everyone you meet but now you know that is not the best plan.
Personality types are a dead give away as to how you should be presenting your business to someone. Learn about network marketing, personality types and all kinds of other great tips by visiting expert network marketer A. D. Kellon's website.
