So, how exactly does a person grow or build his e-mail list? Here are some tips that you can use to help your list building efforts.
One way to build your list is to exchange ad space with other e-zine or newsletter publishers. You would be surprised at the number of e-zine publishers who are willing to swap ad space so that you can both grow your businesses simultaneously. This is a simple joint venture tactic that can take you a long way. All you need to do to get the ball rolling is contact the other newsletter publishers in your niche. Tell them that you want to exchange ad space and promote their business. Typically publishers are happy to do this but if someone says "no" then all you have to do is contact someone else. Personalizing this method will make it even more effective.
The best way to get new subscribers is to have your existing subscribers bring potential opt-ins to you. Word of mouth marketing is incredibly powerful so make sure you encourage the people on your list to spread the word about how awesome you are. Make sure they have the means to let their friends and colleagues know how valuable you are. Make a "refer your friends" form for your website and send the link to your subscribers.
Besides that, you should make sure that your work is so good that your subscribers will want to send the content along to others. Take advantage of this major tactic if you really want to see a long term profits.
If you are trying to get someone to subscribe to a newsletter or an e-zine, it makes more sense to have a sample available so that potential subscribers can look through it to make sure they want it. It doesn't take a lot of work to post a small sample and this can increase your rate of opt-ins. Also, if you've been running your newsletter for a long time now, you can simply have an archive of the previous issues that the prospects can go through before opting in.
All in all, increasing your subscribers number doesn't take a lot of effort if you know what you're doing. Use these tips to get better results.
