A content development strategy is something anybody who circulates information around online needs to have to help better coordinate their efforts. In establishing such a strategy a determination must first be made as to how frequently you intend to be publishing content. To get the most out of this particular strategy it is always recommended to distribute quality information since this will enhance your credibility as well as your marketing effectiveness. Many people feel however that it is more effective to serve up as much information as you can create to saturate the market, but this approach often sacrifices quality. So the question is should you go short on the quality and long on the quantity when publishing content as part of your online marketing strategy?
Here is a quick look at the results you can expect when using either of these 2 strategies.
~ Creating Quality ~
a) Better Understanding of Subject Matter
It only stands to reason if more time and research is involved you and the reader will get much more out of what you compose.
b) 'Spawns' More Content
The more you learn the more you have to share with your readers. Make no mistake, the more research you conduct or the more in-depth your knowledge pool becomes, the more quality information you will have to share with readers.
c) Builds Credibility
When you know what you are writing about and the more any reader benefits from what you compose, the greater your credibility becomes. When working online your credibility is an asset that will serve to help increase your marketing effectiveness. Simply put, you will have greater influence therefore more people will be incline to listen to what you have to say.
~ Going for Quantity ~
a) Easier to Compose
The single biggest drawback for many people have concerning publishing content is the amount of energy and the perceived difficulty involved in the process. By foregoing more extensive research on your topics it will be much easier for you to produce information for circulation. This will allow you to maintain a certain sharpness or edge for other duties or tasks you need to perform.
b) Time Efficient
With the 'degree' of difficulty being reduced, so is the case with the amount of time you need to invest. This is a very big plus for those with a limited amount of time available or perhaps challenged by managing their time more efficiently.
c) Greater Coverage
The main idea behind this particular approach or strategy is it will be easier to saturate the market more fully when publishing content in this manner. Although what you are distributing may not always be the best quality information, your efforts will give you a more expansive coverage
The content development strategy you select is going to be a personal choice that likely best suits your objectives, time availability, ambition and skill sets. Either choice will bring you exposure, although distributing quality information will tend to impact your marketing effectiveness more favorably. On the other hand publishing content more frequently does keep you in front of people helping to establish your brand or identity more quickly. One thing is for certain when using this online marketing strategy however and that is that effort and focus will be needed to get the best results from either of the 2 approaches we discussed above. In the end it comes down to whether you want people to see the 'best' of you, or simply 'more' of you!
