Not all blends of the K2 Herb product are in and of themselves actually entirely made up of a herb. Rather, blends like K2 Summit, K2 Ultra and K2 Blonde contain a synthetic compound which is then sprinkled on or mixed with herbs and botanicals. Natural herb products appear to be only found in K2 Sky, K2 Solid Sex, K2 Orisha, K2 Amazonian Shelter and K2 Thai Dream.

K2 incense blends like Summit, Ultra and Blonde are not a 100% natural substance, such as you might find in naturally-growing plants and herbs such as oregano, thyme, dill or basil, just to name a few. Instead, K-2 incense contains synthetic chemicals (or man-made, or artificial, or however you choose to classify them). These chemicals are known as JWH-018 and JWH-073.

It is these chemicals that make K2 these three variations of K2 Incense so unique. They actually mimic the effects of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the chemical found in marijuana and hashish. The chemicals found in K2 Herb products work in almost the exact same way on the cannabinoid receptors (the parts of the brain that absorb the THC in marijuana and hashish or JWH-018 and JWH-073 in K2.) This means that the brain responds in much the same way as it would if you were using true marijuana or hashish.

These chemicals, however, are not considered to be in the category of "controlled substances" like THC is. Because of this, it may not be considered illegal to use, possess, grow, or otherwise "take advantage" of K2 Herb products like K2 Summit, K2 Ultra & K2 Blonde.

You should be aware, though, that the decision to consider anything that the Federal government has NOT already classified as a "controlled substance" is largely a state-by-state one. Therefore, while to buy K2 herb is legal in most states, it may be illegal in your state. You will want to find out if this is the case before using or procuring K2.

Now, here’s the real difference. When you buy K2 herb, although you can experience the same feelings and sensations that can be felt with marijuana or hashish use, the chemicals in the K2 herb products will not show up in the blood, urine, and other bodily fluids like THC does. In other words, you can enjoy the K2 herb in the privacy of your own home, on your own time (that is, when you’re not working or fulfilling other responsibilities) and still pass a standard drug test if you are required to submit to one.

The K2 herb can be used in several ways. One of the most common ways is as incense. The chemicals and other materials used to make K2 Summit, K2 Ultra and K2 Blonde are manufactured and then sprinkled on other herbs or plant substances. They are then sold or distributed as incense materials.

The typical abuse that occurs with the K2 product line is when it is directly inhaled, just like regular tobacco. While counter to the manufactures stated intent and disclaimers, individuals are purchasing the K2 incense product line and then either "rolling" their own K2 cigarettes, removing the regular tobacco from cigarettes or cigars and re-filling them with K2 herbs or using a water pipe ("hookah") or a regular smoking pipe.

Consumers should be aware that if you abuse the K2 products by direct inhalation of the K2 smoke, there is a chance that you can be exposed to the tars and other chemicals that are found in tobacco or tobacco-like substances. These can cause the same health risks that can occur with such use.

The decision to use K2, or any legal or illegal substance, is a personal one. If you feel you are ready to make such a decision, and are aware that there may be consequences, just as there can be with any decision of this type—including drinking, smoking regular cigarettes or anything similar—then you can do so, knowing that you will not have to worry about passing a drug test.

Just as you would with any other substance, you should use K2 responsibly and in a safe manner. Take the necessary precautions to ensure that there is no danger of fire occurring, and make sure you monitor your actions so that the risk of hurting yourself or others is reduced or eliminated.
