All good spies rely on the tools of their trade to outwit the bad guys and a spy watch is one of those tools.

You might be surprised at what is available today. There is one watch called the "DVR spy watch" that has a digital video recorder, a microphone, a still camera, and a video camera all in one. And you can use it as a watch too... (duh!)

It must be one of the most awesome spy watches ever made, as it will take care of filming what you are spying on and recording it. You can even take a few still shots with it. All you have to do is charge the watch for three hours and you are ready for your latest assignment.

The filming is done from the 2 o'clock spot on the watch, so when wearing it on your arm, just rest your chin in your hand and film away. Position yourself so the watch is pointing at what you want to film and begin filming when you are ready.

The on/off switch is on the left side of the watch. Look at the watch just as you do when you are looking to see what time it is and touch the on/off switch. This turns on the status light. You can see it is on standby mode when the light is blue. The recording will start in a couple of seconds and the light will then turn a yellow-green.

No one will ever suspect that you are doing anything besides checking the time. The video you record can be uploaded to your home computer and played on Windows Media Player. How simple is that? You have your evidence right in front of you.

Okay, those are four features you need for spying - the digital video recorder, a microphone, a still camera, and the video camera. So what else might you need?

Another watch that's available today has a few different features. This spy watch has a night vision light so that spying after dark is not a problem. It also has a stop watch and a wake-up alarm to remind you that it is time for your surveillance to begin. In addition, a motion alarm with a time stamp is another one of its features. If anyone moves the watch, an alarm goes off.

It will also read special spy paper so you can decode messages that no one else can read. How cool is that? You will be the only one who knows what is on the paper besides the sender. Add to this a spy sight with crosshairs to have a good look at the person you are spying on and you have all the tools of the trade to be the best spy in town.

Now if you could just get a watch that had all ten of these features in one, you would have the ultimate spy watch. Of course, you can always use both and just switch for the features as you need them.

James Bond would like a watch with so many features. How about you? If you want to be a spy, you are going to need to get your spy tools together. A spy watch will arm you with several of the tools you'll need all at once.
